I thought this was a very good spot to steal. What do you think? How about the flop call? bad, huh?

How does the number of players effect your decision?

Re: KK too aggressive?

I've found that $2 pf raise is good at most $50NL party tables. You don't usually face more than 2 opponents on the flop. If not, then I switch to $3.

When I have KK or AA on the button, I...

99-QQ in position vs. a solid player

Wondering what your normal line is in this situation.

Example: Solid player (SOLID) is in UTG+1 or MP1, Blinds are 1/2.

SOLID open-raises to 6. You have QQ-99. You call in this spot. Headsup...

Re: A weird AJ vs. Maniac hand

Seems like an easy check vs. a maniac.

If unscary (non-diamond, non-str8) river, call whatever he bets. If scary river then you probably fold to a decent bet.

If he checks river again...

Re: $50 NL - should I be folding AK here?

If Villian has QTo then go ahead and take it because I'm following that player around party for a long time.

If you fold here, do you fear a set every time someone raises you?

Re: $50 NL - should I be folding AK here?

Sure. Then chose your method for killing yourself when he shows you AJ.

Re: 200 NL. QQ on a monotone board

I don't see how checking could be right since you are very likely to have the best hand right now and a 2/3 to pot bet will fold out almost every lone heart.

You make your stand here and with no...

Re: Max # of Tables for 6-max

I like to think more in NL. I don't want to see "you have options at table XXX", mouse over and discover I have a fairly strong hand and somebody just went all in. Now I have no idea what to do. ...

Re: bet river or check behind

Not sure. Depends a lot on the player.

But why in the world did you not raise that flop? You have the nuts and he could have a lot of good hands with outs.

Re: Call river all-in w/ TPTK? How do you decide? RESULTS

I think aggressive early, tight later is the right strategy against decent home game players. Most home games seem to start out tight and then get loose - so play against the table tendency. So he's...

Re: Max # of Tables for 6-max

I use PT with gametime+. I don't think it is enough. To make the most money in NL you have to be thinking about what hand the villian is one from pre-flop to river. You can't just look at the...

I don't know how in the hell you guys multi-table in NL.

Re: Good PT stats for $50 NL (6max)?

Thanks for the reply, but it seems strange to me that 23/8 would be ideal. That is close to the same stats you want in a limit full ring game. Maybe a couple of percent looser. I would think...

Re: % of time to bet this flop

I agree and I think you can make just a $15 bet.

There is no reasonable diamond draw he could be on after calling that reraise. The hand you don't want to be against is AQ because it beats you...

Good PT stats for $50 NL (6max)?

Re: results

I think that is a great play with a 6. You raised PF so if a typical SSNL player has AA, AK, or maybe even KQ he gets all of their chips thinking there is no way he has a 6.

Re: Call or fold the 3rd nut flush?

Well looks like I made a big blunder. I folded. I was involved in hands at multiple tables and I didn't notice that the river made a straight or two-pair for JT.

My thinking was - why call off...

Call or fold the 3rd nut flush?

No real reads on villian at the time. Looking at PT, they are 34% VP$IP, 2% PFR after 44 hands.

Re: Playing open trips too fast?

Value bets really happen on the river. In order for a turn bet to be a value bet, you have to have a monster, right? I don't usually put players on monsters with great certainty. I can't assume...
