Re: already have an account

Does anyone know if having an old play-money PP account would also disqualify a person from opening a new account under an affiliate?

Re: river quicky

The reason I posted this hand is that I find most players seem to auto-bet the river OOP HU when the turn checks through. I tend to be more judicious in this situation and wonder if I'm leaving...

Re: 20/40, hands like this are killing me - Q6s blind war

Take the free card? Not many other options available, eh?

Re: Value bet?

Do you ever check that turn? You might be ahead, but if not most of your outs are tainted by flush draws and reverse domination. I also get the feeling that you have little/no fold equity here.

Re: i see demons

I would have been getting great odds on the flop, UTG could easily be holding a 6 or 8, and I now have one only card left to improve.

Re: i see demons

I agree that checking the flop was a mistake, but I feel like I've lost all fold equity by now. I suspect I'm up against a pair, set or straight 1/3.75 times, so I am again reluctant to bet. The...

Re: 10/20 river play

You clearly missed value, but I don't think it's all [i]that[/] bad. You'll pick up a bluff from a flush draw on occasion and a smaller ace may still bet. There are plenty of 10/20 regulars who bet...

Re: OOP v. cold-calling TAG

Right. The poll asked posters in this forum to report which hands they would cold-call in the given situation. I'm not sure who responded to the poll, but apparently there are serveral players...

Re: 4 handed 80/160 hand

I wonder if raising the flop and betting turn gets more folds. I'm sure he'll fold more often to your turn raise than a flop raise or a turn bet in isolation, but giving him two opportunities to...

Re: OOP v. cold-calling TAG

I never cold-call with any of these hands. Maybe that's why I'm so confused when another 'reasonable' player does it. I can possibly see it if you're fishing for a set with a mid/small pair and you...

Re: \"Big\" Fold in Blind Battle

I think he's got a smaller two pair often enough to call getting 11:1.

Re: pf quickie

the tag is 3-betting me pretty light and the lag knows it. i think their ranges are very wide: 98s+, virtually and pp, any two broadway.

I folded because I'm only expecting action from dominating...

Re: Re-learning how to laydown top pair... standard?

I think this is probably a good fold, as it's hard to put him on a hand other than 22/44 or perhaps a small ace. Even so, I'd likely call down an unknown, as there aren't too many hands that beat...

Re: Another hand

Personally, I think you can rule out bet/fold (I mean, what are you hoping to collect from, K8?) and either check/call or check/fold. I suspect 7.5:1 isn't quite enough here, so I check/fold.

side effects (cathartic post/dubious content)

I hired a coach for an hour of consultation recently. We talked and he watched me play a bit of the party 10/20 6-max. He then looked over some stats and asked a few hypothetical questions. Out of...

Re: overpair on paired board

BB is very loose and very passive (57/7/0.7).

I'm scared of a c/r because I'm not sure how to handle it. I think this is a good spot for AJ/KJ to semi-bluff c/r. At the same time, both the...

Re: 10/20 6max: a poorly played hand - QJo

Seems like a good board for a bluff, given that he has to put you on a made hand, but what do you put him on? His line looks like at least a pair to me, either a set, a K with kicker issues, or...
