Bodog 100k Pre-flop with 88....

Bodog 100k tournament. Blinds are at 100/200, I'm in the BB with a 3.2k stack and 88. 270 left, top 81 get paid. My stack is right around average. Dan Druff (uber seat cover spinner) opens in MP...

Re: Stars 500k Official Thread

Haha, second hand after the break and I get QQ again and call an all-in from the shortstack. He has AK and wins that race. QQ has been a bitch to me in this tournament. 0-3 with them. At 2k and on...

Re: Stars 500k Official Thread

I was at 11k one hand before the break, then JJ beat my QQ and I'm at 7k. Looking for some luck to get back in it.

Re: Anyone in the Bodog $100k???- 2:00- Official Thread

Out in 250th place. Lost 2 races back to back - first one against that Dan Druff guy - his KQ beat my 88. Knocked me down to 1200 chips, then I pushed with AQ and got outraced by JJ two hands later.

Re: Anyone in the Bodog $100k???- 2:00- Official Thread

I'm in it, table 59 - SixgunSam. 2k at the first break, which isn't bad considering I was down to 90 chips after suffering a bad beat ( all-in as a 3:1 favorite and lost ) within the first 15...

Re: Advice needed for a youngin

You can make a lot of money in tournaments, but it is streaky because the real payout is in first or second. This may be on the conservative side, but with a 1k bankroll, I wouldn't play anything...

Re: I have applied Paul Phillips advice but am still sucking

Accumulate more chips so you can sustain suckouts because they will happen in the course of a tournament. I would guess you are not taking every opportunity to grow your stack if you are...

Re: Quick Question- (No Content)

They always reboot the servers Wednesday morning, so the last tournament usually starts around 1:00 a.m and they don't start new tournaments until 8:00 a.m or there-about.

Re: Favorite Final Table from WPT Season 1 or 2?

The final table with Daniel, Gus and Hoyt. When Hoyt and Gus get heads-up, that is some incredible poker. Those guys are re-raising, calling and bluffing with horrible hands and neither of them...

Stars 45k FT sweat

Final 5, I'm shortstack.

Nevermind. Out in 5th. 77 loses to A3 when he spikes an Ace on the river. Oh well.

Re: Where did this go wrong? or, Bad beat, on to the next

I think I fold TT here most of the time. Too much action from the early positions to think I'm ahead or that I can isolate. If you're going to play, the push is correct, but TT sucks in multi-way...

Re: AJ suited on button, tough decision

How can you be upset? You were getting 2:1 on the call and you got a coinflip. The cards came out badly for you, but your play was correct. You can't make weak-tight laydowns, especially with a...

Re: Paying the donkey? Or playing the donkey?

If he was drawing with the 98 he hit on the turn, if he was drawing with the flush or 45 he hit on the river. Flush seems a little less likely, unless he had the KQ because the ace is on the board,...

Re: Battle of the blinds (I hate heads up)

With 2 clubs out there, you could check the flop, then call a small bet if he makes one. If you catch a K or another 6, you're in business, if you catch a club, your check call is in perfect shape...

Out 455

Had a bad run of cards. 10k in the BB, the button raised like 12k and I called with A9. He had KJ and caught 2 pair on the flop. Out.

2nd Break -------------------------------

18k Table 83 second break. Lost one huge pot when I caught a straight vs. a flush, but other than that it is going well.

Woot big double up

Thank god for donkeys! Got AK - raise - one caller. Flop AK6. I bet, he raises, I re-raise, he pushes, I call and he shows AQ. 11k now. /images/graemlins/cool.gif

Re: 1st break

Found a few easy players at my table, but they're slowly getting knocked out. Got 4.8k at the break. Not bad.
