Hand selection and Fluxuation

I've had some tough swings lately. Mostly down. With an adaquate bankroll I know it is important to push all +ev situations no matter the size. However if you avoid small +ev situations you will...

Re: 55, flopped set, two check-raise attempts, river fold

I think the biggest mistake was calling preflop. While you hit the set this time calling this many bets preflop with a prospective hand is not recommended. Also when a guy whom you've already...

Re: 88 Flops set, correct slow play?

Definantly bet the flop.

1. Value bet if SB just calls you will get many additional bets.
2. If SB 3 bets he may force out some of the draws you are afraid of...though if he raised you may need...

Re: Huge pot, but did I play it wrong?

[ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ]

Why?

I don't think it was and I'll even give the poster some reasons.

1. There is a good chance you are drawing...

Re: ???

Because with highly speculative hands you do not want to invest much in the hand before you do hit the hands/draws they make. You also open your self up to an isolationary reraise. You don't want...

Re: Can the OVERPROTECTION of your bankroll cause harm???

$50 isnt exactly a bankroll for 1/2. General guidelines are 300 Big bets which would be $600 youwould keep in for the limit....you are sort of endangering the $50. Its nice you've always been up. ...
