Re: Why is PartyPoker the biggest online poker site?

Pokerroom has the best looking tables by a wide margin, IMO. Very easy on the eyes.

Re: The value of information (slightly retarded)

Just a few quick thoughts...

Knowing that exactly a single 3 is coming obviously dramatically increases the value of 33. It also significantly increases the value of any 3x, which now becomes...

Re: How much should you make to be successful?

Just MHO, but if you are a successful player there is no reason to be at NL50 for anywhere near 30-40k hands. NL100 plays nearly the same and you will win the proper roll for NL100 in a short time...

Re: Laying the smackdown on a nut peddler

[ QUOTE ]
That being said, yes, fold preflop. A person is dealt AA 0.45% of the time and KK 0.45% of the time. If he's raising 1% of his hands you should be dropping AK like a rock.

Re: What is the best way to play this?

If he wants to push $25 to win a $3 pot and you have TP2K, let him have it. If he plays like this, you'll have a much better opportunity to stack him. Make a note and add him to your buddy list.

Re: Matt Matros article from Card Player: AK and Fold Equity

After this size reraise, the pot is large enough that if you hit an A or a K and play it reasonably (i.e. bet 2/3 pot on the flop and get called), you'll wind up with a roughly stack-sized pot no...

Re: Matt Matros article from Card Player: AK and Fold Equity

OK, so flop is Kxx. Pot is ~$24. He checks, you bet $18 (2/3 pot) and get called. Pot is now $60 and you both have $70 left in front of you. Turn blanks, he checks. What do you do? Do you check...

OK, what flops and betting action do you love/hate after your 12BB reraise gets called?

Re: Matt Matros article from Card Player: AK and Fold Equity

When they fold or push, it's pretty clear. But when they call, it isn't so clear to me. I guess my question is really what hands do they raise 4BB UTG with that they do not call the 12BB reraise...

Re: Matt Matros article from Card Player: AK and Fold Equity

[ QUOTE ]
I don't remember seeing anything about pushing 100BB with AK against a 4BB raise. A healthy reraise to 12BB is probably in order, though.

Re: miniraising limpers from the BB?

From the blinds, this makes some sense to me. With 4-5 callers who will nearly always just call the minraise at SSNL, you are getting 8-10:1 immediate odds on your 7:1 draw. This does qualify as a...

Re: 100 NL 6max vs. 50 NL 6max

It has been my experience that 50NL is a tougher game than 100NL. Take that for what it's worth, as it is based on feel and observation. I don't have enough hands at 50NL to make it statistically...

Re: QUADS played horribly wrong

Agree. They either have something or they don't. If they do, they'll call most any reasonably sized bet. If they don't, they'll fold to any bet at all. So, make a reasonable bet (~pot) and hope...
