Re: I\'m turning jason into a LAG. The AQo test?

[ QUOTE ]
If you do see the flop, you do have to be a little careful.

[/ QUOTE ]

Bingo. Chance of being outplayed, as well as being behind to begin with. If the 13/8 guy is weak...

Re: I\'m turning jason into a LAG. The AQo test?

[ QUOTE ]
Do you ever cold call here or do you think it's raise or fold?

[/ QUOTE ]

I never cold call here. Raising was worth thinking about for a second. Folding is the best choice.

Re: I\'m turning jason into a LAG. The AQo test?

So "dumb" is probably strong language.

[ QUOTE ]
you have position, you have initiative, and you've got a terrible player subsidizing any losses in the form of dead money.

Re: I\'m turning jason into a LAG. The AQo test?

This is just a dumb iso-reraise. 6-10% means he's not doing this much. Fold and move on. You made a mistake. All the posts point to the same thing.

Re: calling with any two?

You are kidding, right?

Your implied odds are complete crap here.

Fold.

Re: Long Time No Post : AJo on the Button

I have read the GOT response. I didn't say it was intended to be a slow play, but in the end, that's what it turns out to be.

[ QUOTE ]

There haven't been that many bets put in so far. The...

Re: Should I finish college? (long)

I know many people that have serious self image issues because of this. They could finish a university degree, but they're not really committed to it, and have found a way to make money (not...

Re: Long Time No Post : AJo on the Button

Well analyzed. I think GOT is off on this one.

Re: Long Time No Post : AJo on the Button

I don't get why this is any better than the other options. I can see why it is worse, allowing draws to get in with fewer bets on the flop and turn, and getting less info about the opponent's hand. ...

Re: Long Time No Post : AJo on the Button

Decent aggro has seen your pre-flop raise, and check-raises the A-high flop because he either has something, and/or wants to isolate you because he thinks you're trying to steal. Trying to knock out...

Re: 10/20 KQ

I don't like this at all. You obviously fear hands AQ, AA, KK, QQ. The guy isn't raising much more than these based on his stats.

Raise the flop. If you are re-raised, fold. If your flop...

Re: 10/20 KTs

I think it is better to bet out on the turn and see what happens, obviously calling if raised. If he's a LAG, he could be spewing with something random. If he's a TAG, he may be firing with a...

Re: A good example of a casual mistake.

There are many correct calls to be made by your opponents here.

You will be raised often and be in a difficult position.

Against quality opposition, I probably check it.

Against...

Re: Are winning players really a bunch of wussy\'s or just smart?

I like the analogy. Tojo and Hitler were not wussies. They had no fear (i.e. were not that smart). As poker players, they would likey lose their whole bankroll by moving up to the 30/60 game too...

Best Choice for a Day of Poker in the Bay

So, I'll be in the Bay Area for a few days. I will fly in on a Saturday afternoon, and plan to kill the rest of the day playing poker. I'll probably play the best limit HE game I can find, 6/12 and...

Predictions Based on Breakup of the Skins System

Here's my read on the Party Skins breakup:

Party is making the move because revenue growth has slowed. New player signups and hand rates are not growing, and are not keeping pace with earlier...
