Re: a good 6max player can crush 10 handed
I guess what I'm talking about isn't the learning phase. Because I'll agree with you that starting at 10 handed is better.
I mean if you start at 10 handed, then becomes good at 6 handed, you can...

a good 6max player can crush 10 handed
Any truth to this ? I'm finding the skills I'm learning in 6 handed are making me so much better then I was at 10 handed. Seems like from a learning stand point I'd be doing myself a diservice...

Re: some lines for AK when you miss the flop
the part I'm missing is this:
generally in 3/6 people are calling that 3$ flop bet with nothing. 1 over card, a backdoor draw, squat. So is there really equity in that bet ? To me the turn bet is...

Re: some lines for AK when you miss the flop
I maybe do it 50% of the time to be honest. Just trying to set up some other lines. But I'm far from good at SH, if I was I wouldn't be asking so many questions.
Ok so you bet out your AK, and get...

some lines for AK when you miss the flop
What kind of line will you adopt against one other player when you have only over cards, and no straight or back door straight draw.
Maybe a board like:
5h 8d 2c
If I opened for a raise...

Re: stuck at 15/10
short handed I play party, 3/6 (full 10 players I play 5/10)
with regards to the 3/6 6max:

stuck at 15/10
I'm stuck at 15/10 despite stealing a lot more and defending a lot more. I'll steal with as little as Q8 or J9 type hands (although not always, depends on the calibre of player beside me), and I'll...

Re: Call with watery eyes?
something like 14.5BB in there before you call on the river, can't really consider the guy behind you as a threat to raise. So how often are you winning this hand ? If you feel that there's just...

Re: Does betting here make any sense?
Any of you like a raise preflop there ? I like doin that for starters, At least get them thinking AK, KQ, KJs or something. From then on I'm taking shots at that pot till I see an A.

Re: What do you do with these hands UTG
"Raising or folding, you should be calling with less."
Ya I think I'm still too passive. The question is what ratio of call to raise should I have ? If I'm seeing 25% of the flops in 6 handed,...

Re: Weak fold or ok?
Ya I discounted a few outs because of hands like AJ, I think you can't really say the full 7 outs. at 6 outs you're just over 10% to hit this right ? So just from a pot odds perspective it's a little...

Re: Weak fold or ok?
I doubt you're ahead here, and with a little creative out counting I think maybe you can consider you have 6 outs (maybe). Doesn't seem like you're getting the right odds to call, and I think too...

Re: Check-call this JJ through showdown?
If we raise on the flop and get reraised, do we go into call down mode then ? A good chunk of the time we're up against a spade draw, how do you decide when to call down from then on ?

Re: River fold headsup with AA against TAG
I always assumed that since you need to be right here under 10% of the time, that this was an easy call. But I've let hands like this go also when it was the last spade and also paired up the top...
