Re: Possible to let go of KK preflop?

You did fine. Push with KK is definitely +EV. Yeah, you'll be up against AA on occasion but not often enough to consider folding it.

Re: Who lays down 2 pr here?

Look at MP1's stack. Looks to me like he does a lot of bullying so I'm putting him on a flush draw. He's hoping to get rid of you without having to rely on catching that last heart. I'll push here...

Re: Bottom Trips

I believe you played it pretty good. Most often you will be looking at TPTK or two pair and not another set. I say get your cash in the pot and go for it. I'm guessing he had AJ.

Re: Getting away from the not-nut flush

Looking at the way you played the hand, I sensed you being a little greedy. You were tentative even after hitting your flush on the turn. Were you afraid to bet the turn and chase him away? Seems to...

Re: Partial Outs

Seems to me that calculating partial outs would give a false sense of security. In this case, are we counting any 10, J or Q as a possible winner? This would give us 10 outs. But then we say to...

Re: Preflop raising war ... don\'t like how I played it.

You will find no sure "tell" that someone has AA preflop. It may seem like it at times but odds are they don't. I had this happen just yesterday and I was holding AA. I raised, got reraised, I...

Re: QJs BB

When he called your post-flop bet, you had to believe he had something fairly decent but not great. TPTK should have invoked a raise from him so I'm thinking he didn't have that. Doubt he flopped the...

Re: Pokertracker hand history question

This is fairly new to PP. I wasn't able to figure it out either so I just answer "yes" and have them send me the emails anyway to download to PT.

Re: flop best straight, but possible flush hits turn

Ummmm.....my bad. I read the post-flop bets as pre-flop and was figuring out what the hands were from that. Yes, would be odd indeed for either to have AA or KK. I'll have to reread and try again....

Re: flop best straight, but possible flush hits turn

You got them both beat.

I really don't think the bets by BB and MP3 post-flop are flush draws. If they both have a flush draw, one of them must realize that his is weaker. The continued play by...

Re: What was your most profitable session at Party $25 NL?

About the same.....$212 I believe just last week. It was definitely a fun night!

Re: My PokerTracker stuff

/images/graemlins/cool.gif

You seem knowledgeable about PT. I just started keeping track of my ring games but am unable to get them into PT. It finds the email and imports it but it doesn't show...

Re: Turned a full: Slowplay?

I think you played it just fine. With only a call on the turn, he may sense you are still searching for something or are not sure about your hand. Odds are he bets big or pushes on the river and you...

Re: Another hand

Problem is that you didn't know what hand he had. Easy to say after the fact but during that hand and with that type of betting from him, I can only see him either going for a flush or trying to get...

Re: Another hand

What the hell was Villain betting on? It was obvious you weren't going away but he kept betting big bucks on nothing. AJo??? Doubt anyone would have put him on the cards needed for the straight. If...

Re: A set against a LAG

Thinking this hand played out as it should have played out. No way should CO have bet more than what he bet pre-flop. He might have been more effective with a min-raise but I doubt it. Doubt there...

Re: First NL hand ever. Lost my stack. HELP!!!

So wouldn't you exercise some caution knowing this? I'm not saying don't bet....but <50% of my stack after folks called my raise seems steep to me.

Re: Party $100 6-max idiot straight draw

Seeing all the checks and not much action, I'm thinking he wanted to try and get something out of it if he had the set. Of course $7 is a strong bet if you think everyone will fold but he still had...

Re: First NL hand ever. Lost my stack. HELP!!!

Since this was your first hand ever playing NL and, obviously, at this table, you have no read whatsoever on the players. Without a read on anyone to your left, they could have easily had KK or even...

Re: First real crack at NL

At the time of your all-in, there was no straight draw unless you believe three cards to the flush or straight post-flop is a straight/flush draw. I say the more the merrier so bring in MP3 with you...

Re: How should I have played this?

I think you played it just fine. UTG would have called your all-in whether he got that river Q or not. It is obvious he felt highly of his two pair pre-river. You were unlucky with the Q on the river...

Re: 1/2 TPTK laydown

I have to agree with this as well. A raise pre-flop is definitely warranted with AKs. I'd have to say that you will lose more times than win limping in with AK. Thin out the herd.
