Re: Do I suck?

You need to talk a lot more about how many hands you've played and less about how many BB you've won. It's incredibly hard to say one way or the other without knowing how many hands you've played.

Re: Explain this about the random number generators

I would argue against this. Although it doesn't make a difference in what you should do because a random card is a random card, I'd rather play at a site that doesn't know what the turn is going to...

Re: Is Tight Aggressive really the best?

My hands are almost all full ring. I also used the filter on the auto rate so I only took into account hands that had 7 or more people in them.

Re: Is Tight Aggressive really the best?

That was defintely one of my large concerns. The sample size for the LAG was slightly more than 10k which is VERY little for a winrate. When I was using everyone with more than 50 hands however it...

Re: Is Tight Aggressive really the best?

Thanks for relying to a post that I've put some decent thought into with a one line response that is either incredibly simplified with absolutely no reasoning or (most likely) sarcastic and therefore...

Is Tight Aggressive really the best?

I have always believed that tight-aggressive was the way to play. Numbers like 19.5/11/2.3 seem to be the numbers people say reflect a 'correct style'. Obviously you have to be using those numbers...

Re: Pacific Poker hires new PR firm that creates while using Peyote IM

Pacific has $200/400 limit tables or are you talking about the NL tables?

Re: Dell 9300 Experience Wanted

I can't get the $750 coupon to work either. It says that it cannot be used with a weekly discout or something so I think the $500 thing makes it so it won't work. Does anyone know if you can refuse...

Re: Dell 9300 Experience Wanted

so you just play it once a day until you get it right? I'm running out of days before then 750 expires (15th I believe)

What do you have to do to get the $100 off coupon?

Re: Dell 9300 Experience Wanted

Are they on sale now? I thought people normally got them around a little over 1k but I might be mistaken.

Re: ONLINE POKER IS 100% RIGGED

I think it's pretty obvious that Party Poker sent out some of their goons to take care of him. Poor soul. Now we'll never know what really happened.

Re: David Williams

Kind of, kind of not. Not that I have incredible insight on the topic, but I do not believe that Williams started talking to Luske until he was already in the WSOP. While Luske might have taken him...

Re: Tax Q -- Taking A Shot To Offset Wins

As long as he takes into account that he's only winning around 70% of what they give to him I blieve his logic is correct.

However, the only difference between doing it this year or next is if you...

Re: Tax Q -- Taking A Shot To Offset Wins

For the record I know very little about the whole tax issue. One that I do know is that you don't just declare your profit, you declare your all of your winnings and deduct all of your losses. So...

Re: Win %

What kind of a sample size are you looking at? I was definitely guessing it would be around 9% vs. 7%, but with so few hands I certainly can't say.

Re: Win %

You could be 100% correct, but I was wondering if you have any data to back that up.

Re: Win %

Are the limit hands full ring? I just expected that the win % would be less than 10% but maybe that was just incorrect thinking.

Win %

I was wondering what people's overall Win % are for full ring limit games. I have a win% of 9.3% through my last 31k hands while my friend is 8.5% through 25k hands.

Does it makes sense that the...

Re: I think I found a bot

I must be missing something. How are you getting a "free card" if you get check raised on the flop? Seems like you're paying 2sb instead of checking the flop and paying 1 BB on the turn. Also, can...

Re: So I need to accept this job offer this week....

I really hope that was a joke. If I ever found out that someone lied to me in a job interview there was nothing that they could do to get hired at my company. Although my company did not share...

Re: So I need to accept this job offer this week....

As someone who's interviewed people for jobs before, a year gap in a resume doesn't look very good. It throws up an automatic yellow flag. If you do take a year off, make sure you have a good way...

Re: spread sheet

It's not exactly a spreadsheat. It's a database program (I believe written in Access). Just search google for Poker Tracker and I'm sure it will take you to their website. It costs around $45 but...

When I first transferred my money to neteller from my bank I had to pay a fee. Is that waived from Emigrant and ING?

Re: How to tell which game is the best?

The point of not improving is certainly not far off for me. I don't play a ton and when I do I'm often working on something else at the same time. I'm not as focused on the game as I need to be to...
