I felt my hand was strong enough, and the pot was small enough, that I would win more leaving the button in the hand.
I can definitely see that I should have raised the turn or 3-bet the flop...

Also, the more I think about it, the preflop 3-bet is to isolate someone who probably doesn't have a pair. You have a small edge preflop if he has 2 unpaired overcards. You have a big edge postflop...
