A strange question

An acquaintence of mine needs to find clipart or similar images of playing cards. Noncopywrited stuff for publishing. Does anyone here have experience with that sort of thing? Can anyone point us...

Re: Small quirky pot vs. Gobboboy

Well, I wasn’t really doubting myself. But these were strange conditions and I wanted to check my line. Do people really think my turn plan, or what semblance of one I have, is good? And is 16K...

Re: Small quirky pot vs. Gobboboy

You didn’t think I was a 2+2er! My cunning plan worked!

Like I said, the fact that it seemed bad to you – or seemed to seem bad to you – was what prompted me to post this hand. It seems pretty...

Re: Small quirky pot vs. Gobboboy

Small quirky pot vs. Gobboboy

It’s the 11+R on Stars. I haven’t been at the table long and have only played a couple pots, neither particularly remarkable.

I have something like 160K and I’m in the big blind and we’re at the...

Re: Another Ruling, Please

Thanks. This seems to me a proper ruling but also seems to allow for some angle-shooting (hitting the muck to get a reaction.)

Another Ruling, Please

It’s near the end of day 1 of the WSOP. There’s been a bunch of action and on the turn player A moves all-in for T25K. Player B has him covered by a couple thousand and is sitting in the 1-seat. ...

Re: I can\'t take this life anymore

I've never known anyone who attempted suicide, failed, and wasn't happy (s)he failed.

Good luck with everything.

Baltimore?

Folks --

I've done a whole bunch of mostly fruitless searches. I'm looking to play or deal in a home game in Baltimore. (I jus moved.) Anyone from around there? Respond here, by PM,...

Pocket Eights Hypothetical Revisited

Folks --

A while back there was a question about who would have the advantage in a heads-up match, a guy who had black eights faceup every hand or his opponent.

A friend of mine and I both...

Re: Weirdest river call I ever made

Well, I'm not just saying this to suck up, but I really think it's hard to fold this hand. How is he not raising you if he has a pair? After that his hand looks a whole lot like a draw, and he...

Re: Obsessive-compulsive walking patterns / cracks / lines / etc.

Well, I actually *was* obsessive-compulsive for a good long while in my life, so I know what it's like to feel that it's gravely important to step or not step in certain places.

Anyway, just make...

Re: 1 hand vs one player with 2 hands

Interesting. This seems tough, so maybe we should start with an analogized situation.

I get a number in [0,1] and you get the max of two in [0,1]. When should I think mine has a good shot to be...

Re: Football game on during poker tournament?

I like having the game on. Usually people don't get too distracted, it's good background material, and often external excitement promotes a good (profitable) gambling atmosphere.

Re: Best way of boosting a bankroll quickly

I haven't read the other replies to this thread but I cannot resist mentioning Sklansky's note in 7CSFAP that low-limit spread-limit stud is a good game for those trying to increase small bankrolls.

Re: Two limpers pair their door

I'll disagree with most here and say this is a pretty clear fold. You're likely behind and suffering from a huge information defecit.
