Re: 100nl, QQ hand

I think you'll see Tx, JJ, KK, or AA more often than a set.
I'd say it 50/50 that you're winning with QQ.

Re: NL 100 - Turn overbet good move?

The turn bet is hardly an overbet. There's over $50 in the pot and villian has $56 behind.

Nice hand. Villian is a fool.

new Party 6-max $3 rake

I noticed that starting last night the rake went up to $3 for the 6-max games. What gives?

Re: average hands per hour at 100 NL 6 max

6-max goes about 75 hands per hour.

PP25 has about 30-35 raked hands per hour
PP50 has about 50 raked hands per hour
I haven't tracked PP100 or higher. It's probably around 50 too.

Re: PP100 AKs out-of-position. tough turn spot

Any thoughts on a better line?
Bet the flop and then shutdown?

Re: Bad Luck or Bad Play?

You'll get better responses if you don't post the results right away.

You have to give villian some respect after calling your turn 3-bet (which was too small). What hands do that? How many of...

PP100 AKs out-of-position. tough turn spot

No read on villian. In hindsight I'd describe him as a good player. Help me with my line please.

Re: JJ on A-high flop 100NL 6 max

I would either reraise preflop to 15 or just call. Your minreraise is so obvious you have a big pair and lets villian see the flop cheaply with this information.

I would take one stab at the...

Re: PP100 6-max top-two vs double-check-raise

I take the history from PT. All I do is remove the word "Texas" from the top and do some small editing like adding in the BB size.

PP100 6-max top-two vs double-check-raise

How often am I ahead here? Villian's double-check-raise screams set, but I've got top-two,
which makes we wonder he may be a donk playing QJ, AT, KK, etc.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (6...

Re: Common scenario for me

The SB reraise always means big-pair when I'm playing.
Maybe it could be AK.
I think you're about 50/50 here.

I can't lay it down.

Re: 3-betting without AA

Sorry I didn't notice villian was on the button. I've seen TT/JJ from early-middle position where villian is testing the waters to see if the reraiser has an overpair.

Re: Top two NL50 (big stacks)

Results?

I think I'd call and expect to see AA/KK half the time and a set the other half.

Re: 3-betting without AA

I see this with TT/JJ.
I don't like the 3-bet size. push or fold.

Re: Attacking limpers with marginal hands from cutoff/button

I do it with JT too, but I'd quickly dump it to a checkraise. I play it passive after my continuation bet.

Re: 18.5/8.5 at 25NL 6 max help

Raise more to buy position.
Raise with KJ almost everytime, and fold the rest.
Raise a lot of stuff from late position and don't limp much at all.

Your numbers are pretty good, but you could...

Re: kk\'s vs 77\'s: Hand Discussion

This is a borderline bad-beat post.

Re: Am I the only one who sucks at hand reading?

Villian has a hand, either 55, 67, or JJ.
Either way, he takes you for a maniac and is calling you down. The turn check-raise looks like you're trying to blow him off his hand. Give up the pot...

Re: Am I Being a Weenie at 6-max?

Uh... Where exactly were you passive on this hand?

I don't get the PFR with 53 UTG, but I wouldn't call it passive. I think the better question is do you call the river. With the flush on the...

Re: Block bet NL100

I think you played it fine. I think you're beat on the river almost always. If you're getting 4:1 maybe I'd call the river.

Re: PP50NL 6-max, AJ, and variance

Some more comments:

Hand #1:
I have had a lot of success with the walk-the-dog approach on these types of hands, letting the villian hang himself with a weaker ace. I think raising the flop may...
