Re: Buying Kane\'s Hand History Database

[ QUOTE ]
last I checked PT databases aren't binary and text compresses very well.

[/ QUOTE ]

No, it's binary. It's all stored in MS Access files.. which compress okay, but not wonderfully.

Re: Buying Kane\'s Hand History Database

So, can I ask, how are you planning on distributing the DB to people who purchase it? at 200,000 hands, I'm guessing the file size will be pretty significant, so electronic transfer might be...

Re: Some random thoughts on the good and bad of the Party split

When I heard about the split earlier, I logged in to see just how badly it had affected the skin network. At that time there were only 9 $1/2 6-max tables going. 3 of them had 5 or less players.

Re: $30+3 early stages, AK passive action, river play?

[ QUOTE ]
First, the hero made a mistake by not making a continuation raise on the flop. With a flop like that, there is a very good chance AK is best.

$30+3 early stages, AK passive action, river play?

This isn't exactly how the hand went down, but some friends and I were discussing this and didn't entirely agree about the correct play should the hand pan out this way (actually just the river)....

Re: Stars Sunday Micro Multi Table Challenge

This sounds like a lark. I wouldn't mind in (can't do tonight though). The Sunday night micros suck, generally, for people like me (in the UK and starting work 4 hours after the last Sunday night...

Re: call or fold this set on the river?

I realize I butchered this hand. I was indecisive and I misplayed it on all streets (except the flop). I wanted to post it to learn from it (and punish myself).

Re: SSNL Session analysis, first try

Hand 8: A minor thing, but I raise to $3 preflop here. I use 4xBB + 1xBB for each limper, if you have a different standard, then fair enough.

Hand 9: Chip spew

Hand 26: I really don't like...

Re: semi bluff makes it oop, 200nl 6max

I don't think you are semi-bluffing the majority of the time on this turn, sounds like you know that though. No better hands are folding here, plenty of worse ones are.

Default play vs a unknown...
