Poor choice of words on my part - the discussion took place later away from the table with some other players I knew, not right then during the hand or with the players who were playing at my table.

I didn't berate him at all. I didn't even say anything during the whole thing. The dealer brought the issue up and called the floor over. I liked having him in the game as it meant much more money...

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't raise preflop because I was in late position and a raise wouldn't have driven anyone out (at Foxwoods 4/8 if someone is in for one SB, they almost always come along...
