Final table strategy

Won a nice $1275 by finishing 4th in yesterday's $5-rebuy on Party. Was so excited I forgot to ask for FT sweat. Think I did my best at the final table, maybe I should've pushed more often. On the...

Re: December summary: all live and online tournaments

Nice job... Funny you mentioned the statistics about the World Cup. I used to do the same thing, collecting all sorts of data from WC and European Championships, when I was a kid. Too bad I'm not...

Re: To cont. bet, or not to cont bet? 11r Stars 45k

Raise at least 3xBB here... I'd make a large cont bet on the flop here to represent the ace and you being afraid of the clubs. I've noticed that large bluff cont bets often works on a draw heavy...

Re: Is PokerTracker really useful for SnG\'s?

Ok... Just asking... I haven't been looking to much at the tools mentioned, have just seen people using them. Though, what I still wonder is if PT is useful when it comes to analyzing opponents? Or...

Re: Is PokerTracker really useful for SnG\'s?

Aren't people using eastbay's Power Tools, Hood's SnG Tracker and AleoMagus spreadsheets? I was mainly referring to the stats I usually look at to pin my opponent in a ring game, like PFR, Agg, VPIP...

Is PokerTracker really useful for SnG\'s?

It was a year ago since I discovered PokerTracker and began to use it. Need I say it did wonders to my fixed limit play? I've seen posters using it for SnG's as well, saying they can't cope without...

Finally a tourney victory!

I've always complained about not being lucky when it comes to tourneys, but today I have to re-evaluate that statement. Managed to win a $20 Speed Tourney and everyone who has tried one of these...

Re: Final table - A9s from UTG+1

Thanks for all answers... I raised 3xBB and got re-raised. Just wanted to check it's not considered too tight folding even though were down to 8 players.

Final table - A9s from UTG+1

$5 R+A on Party. 1180 entrants and we're down to 8. I have the 4th biggest stack with approx T415000.

- Average stack is about T450000
- Blinds are 15000/30000

I'm UTG+1 and look down on...

Re: What to do with a Child who plays SNG\'s?

Wow... Just the thought that I might have got PWNED by a nine-year-old at Stars $10 SNG's makes me feel sick. I wanna puke right now...

Don't wanna be morally correct saying you shouldn't let...

What are the odds? (LC)

Played 4 tournaments today. In 3 out of those I was dealt AA in the very first hand. In the latest tourney, my first three hands were AA, AK and AA (finally managed to get an all-in on the last AA)....

Re: Overplay an overpair?

How's that possible? With position, you just have to punish the limpers with a big raise. You just got unlucky, that's all.

Re: Overplay an overpair?

I'd call this, I think. Sometimes you're up against a higher overpair or a set here. More often it's A9, a draw, an underpair, two overs etc. Since he's the chip leader, he might just be bullying...

most aces will call, especially with a draw kicker, while inferior hands will always fold.

Pocket pair on a monotone flop

Small buy-in tournies ($10 and $20) on Party. Twice today I've raised a good amount on the flop, once with KK and once with JJ, only to see a monotone flop. In both cases I've had the represented...

Re: Aggressive big-stack move or donky play?

[ QUOTE ]
I would have gone all-in on the flop. UTG can only call with very strong hands here. On the turn, once UTG's 10 K are in, this move is bold because he has no FE.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yep,...

Aggressive big-stack move or donky play?

Having the biggest stack gives you a great opportunity to bully around, especially when nearing the bubble. I don't know how you guys play the big stack, but I tend to get aggressive with my good...
