Re: Can AA be overvalued preflop early in MTT?

I dont care if the whole table goes all-in in front of me, I call with AA everytime.

KK is totally different, at that point you have to give reasonable thought to someone having the aces there

Re: Can AA be overvalued preflop early in MTT?

true.. I figured I'd assume worst case scenario for a post like this. =P

Re: Can AA be overvalued preflop early in MTT?

Here's an interesting stat. If you get all-in preflop AA vs another pocket pair 3 hands in a row, about half of the time you are going to be going home by the end of that 3rd hand.

However, the...

Re: Folding big-slick pre-flop

And if you want my opinion, I think the reraiser has QQ/KK/AA/AK, and the caller could have a slightly more open range since he expects you to call as well.

I feel better about calling if my AK is...

Re: Folding big-slick pre-flop

I'm not being smart.. I'm being very serious. It doesn't happen often but when I'm pretty sure from previous experience that someone has aces, I lay down AK in a heartbeat. What I'm saying is your...

Re: Can I get away from this set?

Well, it comes down to this... is he very loose preflop with his reraises?

Generally speaking, I'm going to have to be shown a set of kings here. Set over set is pretty rare, so when it happens...

Re: Folding big-slick pre-flop

This isn't really a question then. If you're 90% sure villian has aces, then you should be folding no questions asked.

Re: Trips facing river aggression

I think this is a fold, although I might have bet the river a little harder so I wouldn't feel so bad about folding... either I bet $30-$35 and fold to raise, or I check-call up to that amount. But...

Re: The Opposite of Bad Beats....

I kinda liked this one since it was revenge for Villian CALLING all-in and pulling a 3 outer with Q /images/graemlins/heart.gif J /images/graemlins/diamond.gif on a T /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 5...

Re: Who makes this laydown?

Given the action, I think folding is probably the best option... especially since you dont have the K /images/graemlins/club.gif so you may only be drawing to 1 out if you're up against the dreaded...

Re: AA Flops Nut Flush Draw On Button

Why wouldn't you bet the flop here? Don't let the monotone color deceive you, you still have the nut overpair with a draw to the nuts. You know the warm tingly feeling when you hold A...

Re: Bet this river?

I think villian generally speaking has an ace here. Most of the time you're ahead.. he certainly can't think you have a big kicker with your ace.

However, getting check-raised here would be bad. ...

Re: A hand worth a discussion

I fold this preflop because AJo is crap out of position to a raise.

Flop -- this isn't the hand to take a stand with. Forget about it. If he's "man handling the table" surely you can bust him...

Re: Split decision

Lets say Matt pushes.

There's now 340+340+900+1480=$3060 in the pot for CO to call $1480 into. There's no way a set is folding there IMHO, and I doubt JT would fold either. Certainly the ace of...

Re: Split decision

testing myself again, my 25 sec decision was to fold.

No fold equity and I have K-high. A nice draw, but still only K-high. Vs his range of hands I dont think getting the money in here is a +EV...

Re: Top two doo doo?

I think the chances of him having AJ or even AQ are slim to none. I seriously doubt villian would 3-bet AK after it being a limped pot there.

I probably would have called the flop but at the very...

Re: Top two doo doo?

Limped pot, and you got reraised. Easy fold with his stats. Those are pretty close to my stats and you're going to run up against TT/77 most of the time here, maaaaaaaaybe AT, definitely not A7.

I'm more replying this to test myself, not because I feel like I'm qualified to give you advice.. I find this a really fascinating hand.

Would the BB call a raise with T7 or 75? Because everyone...

I didn't even...

Re: I\'ts been bothering me

And what would be the point of a push then? To lose the rest of your stack when Paul gleefully calls with a boat? To still win the same when he folds a busted draw?
