folded the river. Should I have folded before this?

Absolute 2/4 6max

villains are generally laggy pf (mostly 30/15 style) and fairly predictable postflop. reads are only semi important as I'm positive I'm drawing here.

I've got...

There's a thread (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=4309731&an=0&page=0#Post4309731) over in small stakes about the common trend of checkraising...

Re: where to play 3/6 6max?

I don't find absolute to be rocky. It's not a wild as Party, but easily beatable IMO.

Cryptos can be fun. Those euros like the thought that you don't even know your hand until the flop comes. ...

Re: Just as short handed play helps full ring...

i like to "warm up" sometimes by playing a $5 limit HU tourney on stars. you get in lots of hands, only play .25 in rake, and if you do it often enough you'll see every kind of HU style. I still...

Re: (LC)Join the HU Tournament Tonight..

whad you do?

I played poorly there at the end, but had a good time regardless. (I was also playing some pot limit omaha 8 at the same time)

We should do this again.

Re: I Know 2+2 Wants To Kill Me For This......

--also, I made an assumption on the position of the button and the blind structure. Having the BB become the dealer seems like it would be significant.

It looks like I misunderstood your premise a little there Stellar. I'll take another whack.

Re: I Know 2+2 Wants To Kill Me For This......

I'll give it a shot. [please check my EV here, as I’m still learning how to do the specific math]

I'm assuming small blind is the button since we're headsup. The odds of hitting a gutshot are...

Re: HU Thoughts...(No Content)

lots of my own HU strategy revolves around a couple of considerations

1)position.

-I'm more likely to bet or raise when in position, and check or fold when out of position

2)opponent...

Re: Live Game - Incorporating reads

here's an excellent thread (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=3408905&an=0&page=0#Post3408905) over in SSSH that deals with this concept brilliantly.

Re: Live Game - Incorporating reads

what a crazy result.

I think I disagree with betting the turn though.

if bb will check through the turn (and since she freakin folded the river I'm guessing that's a distinct possibility), then...

Re: Flop play OOP vs a pf capper

--blind response--

I like it. lots of buttons will cap lightly because they have position, and are counting you to whiff the flop.

the river is the only good because of your read imo. You...

Re: Live Game - Incorporating reads

On first glance, I thought leading out had the greater upside, but I think I was wrong there. Checking definately has greater variance here, but it seems like the few times that bb has a straight or...

Re: Fold against LAG donk?

that's a nutty bet. I don't think we're giving up much by folding. If anything, he made a mistake by not allowing us to further hang ourselves.

i bet that turn most of the time. the few times I dont, its because I want to induce a bluff, and I call the river.

Re: More $0.50/1 6-max or $1/2 full?

you sound like me a few months ago.

take the time and learn shorthanded play. It's a lot more fun, and a lot more like poker than full ring.

I'd go ahead and put some hands in at .50/1...
