Jackpot Tables at Party

I remember some time ago a discussion about +EV being reached when Party's bad beat jackpot reached a certain level. Just trying to figure out when it's profitable to jump to the jackpot tables when...

Re: Vegas on a budget

I just did a search on Travelaxe which searches for the lowest fares on a number of websites. I usually have fairly good luck with this search as lots of places match the lowest prices you can find...

Re: Where should I stay for the WSOP main event?

Unless you are set on staying on the Strip and playing Mirage and Bellagio cash games as well, try the Gold Coast....right across the street from the RIO..decent rooms (that you won't use much...

Re: Advice sought from anyone who has recently moved up to 10/20...

I've been playing Party's $10/$20 for the past couple of months now after making a too large jump from $5/$10 to $15/$30 and staying there for about 6 months. I found that I can not handle the large...

Re: Well, I\'m officially playing poker for a living....

Your post just popped up after I sent mine Scot....but doesn't your variance increase with the multi table play enough which could lead to needing a larger bankroll for say...2 tables of 15/30...

Re: Well, I\'m officially playing poker for a living....

I'd like to expand that silly question just a bit. I think a 300BB dedicated BR is assuming single table play, correct? Then when you start adding more tables, I would think that the dedicated BR...

Re: PokerStars $15/30: Save a bet on the river?

Pot is paying 11.5 BB to your final call. If you don't think you will win more than 1 in 12 times in these circumstances, I think you are mistaken. Its a definite call.

Re: 89s first in from cutoff. Fold or Raise?

If you are in a game where the blinds are tight, there is no maniac on the button (isolation reraise), and you are viewed by the other players as a TAG player, then a raise is probably proper here....

Re: Bellagio 8-16

[ QUOTE ]
Bellagio's 8/16 was much looser and crazier, almost frantic. People would buy in for $120 and be gone in ten minutes.

Hey Orn,

About the same as the $8/$16 at...

If you can afford traveling to vegas, you can drop $500 on the poker table.

[/ QUOTE ]

That's about enough for 2 or 3 bad suckouts in a typical $8/$16 game. (And they have...

Re: PP $15/$30 Hand

Hey Jeff

Thanks for the thoughts. I agree that I played this hand very poorly and got lucky when he folded a better hand. I guess we get conditioned because against so many of the Party 15/30...

Hey bro, I'm a bit older than most here too. No sarcasm meant or taken from my end either. Sometimes posters just aren't aware of how the swings of a larger game can affect how they play and the...

PP $15/$30 Hand

I had been playing at this table for about an hour and had a pretty good set of data on the Villain. He's a good tight very aggressive guy who is capable of laying down a hand. Then the following...

Re: 15-30 Hand: How do you like my line?

I guess I am assuming it's Party 15/30 and I know how that game goes with the maniacs and calling stations and all, but, wow. I guess right off what came to my mind was "if you continued to play...

Re: Bellagio 8-16

[ QUOTE ]
If you can beat party poker 3/6, you will have no problem beating live games below 10/20. Many live games in the 15/30 range are easier to beat than 3/6 party.

Re: What is a good/bad session at a B&M????

Well, having no losing sessions simply means you have not met the cold hearted poker goddess yet. When she arrives, you will recognize her. Every set of aces you make on the flop will be sucked out...

Re: Hand to Talk About

Well, I don't like raising the turn here because unless you are in Party's 15/30 you won't get unlimited action from AX. You might even see a good laydown by the BB in the hand, if the perception is...
