Re: Maybe slightly OT - $ share in MTT winnings

50% was the first number that came to mind.

If you don't take over, he gets $0 right?

I realize he got it down to 44 players on his own, but it's not that hard to get to the bubble in MMTs, the...

Re: Finding that multitabling has improved my decisions and reduced ti

I'm definately in the same boat. I find it makes me better at going with my gut read/reaction, which is right more often that it is wrong. I don't have the time to talk myself out of making big scary...

Re: not disagreeing

[ QUOTE ]

#2 is merely conveivable. If I'm there for a job interview and the employer plays poker as well, then my guess is that it would stop at that: "we're both poker players" <smile>. I'm...

Re: An odd example of losing it..

Waiting is the right thing, and I do it myself...but only for a minute or two.

I guess if it happened a ton to me where I came back and most of my chips were gone, I'd have less patience for it in...

Re: Huge River Overbet from a total rock

I don't like this. I don't think he calls often enough with a worse hand for it to be a good move.

The board isn't that scary, especially against a villian who raised preflop. Here's the...

Re: Game Selection: Money on the table.

[ QUOTE ]
This is why I tend to take the approach that I do. I dont sit down with the max buy in, nor the minimum, usually double the min or half the buy in. If I can project an image of weakness...

Re: 2/5 Live NL I love playing big pots with 1 pair

What do we ultimately think of the villian's push here?

I'm not saying it was a bad play on his part, albeit certainly suspicious, but is there a difference in him betting $350 vs. betting say,...

Re: 2 NL400 hands, I play same line with same hand

Don't know if I'd have time to think this up on the fly, but my first instinct is:

I like that you're trying to represent KK again...that being said, he ISN'T going to give you credit for KK no...

Re: 2/5 Live NL I love playing big pots with 1 pair

I don't have a huge problem with the call...but you can probably only get away with it once at the table...after which point smart opponents are going to be making big overbets with their good...

Re: average profit from no limit 2/4

People keep assuring me that 6-7BB/100 is amazing for middle nl, and impossible for high nl.

My winrate falls within that for 50k hands of 100/200/400nl at party 2-4 tabling.

Of course, I just...

Re: opinion time -- how weak will you call

Good call with 77. I might have done it with worse.

Think about what your play looks like to the villian. You raised pf, checked the flop, tried to buy it on the turn, and then checked the river....

Re: Fun hand against a big fish (LC)

This is actually pretty funny.

The turn was basically the only street you played correctly.

On the river, you are being bluff min-raised because villian knows you don't have anything. It's his...

Re: What to do when you run bad???

[ QUOTE ]

Switch games from limit to NL or sit and go tourneys. I know you are probably running bad from unpleasent cards but that can cause someone to misplay their good cards as well.

I know...

Re: Lay it down? AKsuit

Reraise pre-flop.

Raise more on flop or else just call.

The turn tells me he has a decent 1 pair hand, but your play looks weak, so he's either ahead or thinks you'll fold a king. Call him on...

Re: Interesting QQ hand. Loose image.

I would have bet bigger on turn and river.

Villian missed out on some chips.

If Villian is going to start calling you down with second and third pair, you should be ECSTATIC that he is also...

Re: How are you going to deal with tougher games in the future?

To be honest...

If the games became so bad that my edge was slim to none, I could see my hours drop to like 1 or 2 a week (from 10). For me, much of the fun and satisfaction comes from outplaying...

Re: What\'s my next step?

Think about this..

It's VERY hard to play 40 hours of quality poker in a week. Especially since to play in the most profitable games, you'll have to pretty much devote every week night and both...

Re: 8-tabling vs 4-tabling

I vote for the "move up" option also.

You say it isn't an option, but why not just move up 1 of your tables?

If your goal is to play in the highest limits available, the way to do it is by...

Re: 2 Folds against the same guy

The thing with the river is that it is pairing the board. As far as the other guy is concerned I probably have a boat now so he doesn't push the river with his flush like he planned to...

Re: 2 Folds against the same guy

Hand 1.

I would definately bet this flop myself because I am against two opponents. I think if you're checking here, it should be for deception and to keep your opponents off balance, but there...

Re: How are you going to deal with tougher games in the future?

I've been telling people that the games are getting harder, and they do seem to. But, when I look at my stats, you wouldn't know it. I seem to be doing as well, if not better than before, despite...

Re: What to do in a really tough situation.

I call. I'll vote for something like AT, QT with an outside shot of 75sooted.

Also, don't call your opponents Homos. It makes you look gay.
