Re: 3-6 heads up. Who bets on the turn here?

With the pot offering 3-1, you should definitely bet. The chances are good that BB called with two overcards and will release, or that he has some sort of straight draw. Obviously, fold to a raise.

is this as bad as it seems?

No stats, but UTG seems to be getting a little out of hand.

Re: dubious play

The general consensus is the fold was a bad move. Maybe someone can help me figure out why. I have 3 clean outs, the jack of diamonds, and 4 6s. So say about 6 outs total, which is generous. That's...

Re: Looks like a good time to work on heads up play

I started playing heads up as well. I haven't kept stats, but I'm guessing they wouldn't be too valuable, since correct play is so opponent dependent.

Re: Pain in the backside AJo hand

It seems pretty important to protect your hand with that giant pot. A checkraise is the only way to do this.

Re: 3/6 6m JT blind steal

With only two diamonds that beat you (and definitely with the A out) I would bet every time. Or are you thinking you can get him to bluff?

Why did you cap the flop? Unless his reraises have been...

Re: Bet-fold this turn or fetal tuck?

One problem with using aggression factor to determine our action in this hand is that the turn bluff checkraises often come from people with below average to average aggression. It seems like this...

Re: another dubious blind play

Nothing. But it wasn't a raise, it was a donkbet on the river with a three flush showing. But I don't even know that he was thinking about the flush.

another dubious blind play

MP 3 the same very loose player (seen all but two of last 60 flops). I called down because, though in general he is very passive, I caught him taking a shot at me earlier. Not sure about it though.

Blind defence is fun!

Please don't stop being sarcastic. I thought your post was hilarious. You might, however, learn to recognize sarcasm in others.

Re: From the Text Book: HAND READING

Allright, a semi-decent player couldn't have been improved by the turn; he wouldn't have raised 77 on the flop, and he wouldn't be in with q7. But from what naphand has said, I'm guessing villain has...

Baronzeus,

Your sample size is a little small for you to be sure about your hourly rate. What you have so far, however, is nothing to be ashamed of. It's a decent winrate, though there will always...

keeping the pot small: smart or just whussy?

22. I wanted to see a showdown, as my hand is probably good; but I definitely wasn't putting too much money in the pot with that fragile hand. Though I'm thinking now it would have been better to...

Re: how the &^%$^& do I avoid this situation? or can\'t i?

It's late, and I've been drinking, but I think I see that the raise was bad. Though it does get more money in the pot when I likely have the best hand, it won't get him to fold, and the bigger pot...

Re: how the &^%$^& do I avoid this situation? or can\'t i?

Hmmm. Very good questions.

1. I raised a) because there's a good chance I have the best hand and b) to put the burden on him to improve on the flop. It was a pot sized raise, which I understood...
