Re: overpair on the flop, Can I fold this?
No matter what hit on the flop, you committed yourself to the pot before the flop. After the flop, the pot has 1200t and you have 400t. There is too much money in the pot to fold KK with no ace on...

Re: $33 AJs shove
He has committed almost half his stack under the gun. He's pot committed. Unless he's a real weak player, the rest of his money is going in on the flop. I would fold.
Lets suppose that UTG and MP...

Re: Difficult Post Flop Hand: ($33)
I'd have to advocate a raise on the flop for information. I would bump it up to about 250. If he calls then you are going to have to slow down. Without any reads, I would fold to an all in...

Re: JJ early hand at 11\'s: bad push/call?
I think you have to fold JJ here. It's just to early to fall in love with an overpair. You could easily be looking at 2 pair or a set. Still plenty of time left in this tourney to fight another...

Time to move up?
I was playing the 20+2's at Party for a couple of months and had fairly decent stats. After about 500 SNGs I was ITM of 40% with a ROI of about 20%. After a bad run of losing about $400 I took some...

Early Hands
I mainly play the Party $20+2 SNGS. How do you usually play hands like KQo, AJs, AQs, etc from middle position early in the tourney (1st or 2nd level). I usually end up limping with these hands and...

Re: Poker Stars 20K Guaranteed
I'm in! 5700 at the break. Had one guy going all in almost every hand..except when I had KK! Then of course I flopped a full house. Everyone else is doubling and tripling up with A10, A3s and I win...

Re: When to start getting aggressive
[ QUOTE ]
5 or 6 players remaining with my stack somewhere around 500-600 at the 50/100 level.
Sounds like you are panicking too early, this is not a terrible position.
I don't feel like...

Re: When to start getting aggressive
Sometimes I am able to catch some cards early and get up to about 1200-1500 by level 3. This usually gives some breathing room and I can usually make the money from this position. I guess my...

When to start getting aggressive
I mainly play the $20 SNGs at Party poker and find myself in this situation very often. 5 or 6 players remaining with my stack somewhere around 500-600 at the 50/100 level. Most of the time this is...

How to play 99 from early position...
Any thoughts on how to play 99 and other med pairs out of early position? Let's assume it's early in the tournament, level 1-3. Any input is appreciated..

Re: A weak fold of Queens on the flop?
I think this is a good laydown. Not much money in the pot and you are out of position. The Jack is the only card that could really help you here and T120 is too much to pay to draw to it. Good...

Paradise SNGs
Does anyone here have any opinion of the Paradise SNGs? I like that they start at T1000 so it gives you a little more time to wait for good hands and don't get blinded down so quickly. I emailed...

Re: Is this a proper QQ laydown?
Probably the main reason I didn't get too involved with this hand is two-fold. First of all, let's suppose that the UTG player has the jack. A check-call on the flop would be pretty standard with a...
