3349 at 2nd break... was down to 600 halfway thru level 4, so I'll take it.

Re: Back to basics - follow me through this tourney - tourney 1

This is a good idea.

I like the play overall, with the only exceptions being:

The raise with QJs (as mentioned above) - I'd limp here.

The SB raise with AQ - I think you need to raise more...

How is QJ not the nuts for this hand?

[/ QUOTE ]

On the off chance you're being serious here, QQ. QJ can chop.

Re: JJ Fold

I'm assuming MP1 pushed for T1823 and the button called?

If this is the case, I'm folding behind a push and a call. Not to mention we are not closing the action here, and even though UTG's...

Re: beautiful naked chick

Your flop raise offers UTG 3:1 on his call, which on this draw-heavy board is too good. To better protect your hand I'd raise another T100 or so. Otherwise, well played. A big letdown after the...

I remembered, this guy is a calling station, let me again "represent" an overpair. I bet 2000

This seems counterintuitive to me. You have no hand at this point, your...

Re: Taking an early edge or having an early night?

Other than increasing the size of your flop bet on this draw-heavy board (T200-T250 maybe), I think you played it well.

Re: Advice on this early position AA hand

There are spots where miniraising is a good idea but they are few and far between, and this is certainly not one of them.

What happens if you are just called in 3 or 4 places (a very common...

Re: Hold-Em on Carnival\'s Fantasy Cruise Ship?

I just got back from the Imagination. No poker, just regular table games (BJ, caribbean, let it ride, carps) and slots.

i would venture it's possible to enjoy this if you haven't seen the original (i haven't)

I haven't seen the original and I found it hysterical. So yes, it is possible.

Re: If you had 2 days in San Fransisco with no plans...

Thanks alot guys, there is some great stuff here.

Regarding poker, a quick search at Pokerpages tells me that Lucky Chances is my best option while I'm in SF. Yes?

Re: If you had 2 days in San Fransisco with no plans...

We're into good steak, maybe some italian, maybe some asian fusion stuff... but really anything will work as long as its good food and atmosphere.

If you had 2 days in San Fransisco with no plans...

My wife and I are flying into SF on a Wednesday next month, and have no plans until Friday morning (meeting up with friends then).

We already have a Giants game scheduled on Friday, Napa on...

Re: Did selection of Best Man and ushers cause any problems with friends?

I just got hitched this past November and both my wife and I had the same problem (too many *equal* family and friends made it tough to decide who was in and out of the wedding party). Our solution...

Re: What should I get for dinner tonight at Angelo & Maxi\'s

If you're into shellfish get the 3-tiered raw bar thing. I had it there once when I wasn't paying. I wasn't thrilled with their steak but that app was very good... looks cool on the table too.

Re: A couple hands from Party $15K Guaranteed

Results for those who are wondering:

HAND #1 - Button called T500, BB pushed for T770, MP1 called all-in for T610 more, Button called for T270 more.

BB flipped A /images/graemlins/diamond.gifT...

Re: Did I totally misplay these?

Hand #1 - I'm sot sure I see what you're calling with on the river here. Your call puts you almost into <10BB desperation mode, you're getting less that 2:1 from the pot, and any single heart >6...

Re: am i a coward?

I like it conisidering Villian's stack size. Absent any reads I would immediately consider him more likely to make a loose call in this spot (i.e. any A, gutshot draw, maybe any Q) so I like the...

Re: standard early blind fold, right?

I think I'd see a flop here. At this point in the tournament I'm looking to see flops for cheap and flop big hands. QJs certainly qualifies for the "flop big hands" requirement, and T50 more with...
