Re: JJ Satellite Hand that makes me want to vomit all over myself.

One seat, like 80 players left, 14 seats to the 650 sunday tourney

Avg stack had to be like 11-12k I am thinking?

Re: $650 Stars WSOP qualifier - tips?

absolutely not.

A lot depends on your game, really. If you are a tight solid player, play tight and solid waiting for hands. The structure is slow enough that you cant wait for monsters and...

JJ Satellite Hand that makes me want to vomit all over myself.

This is cut and pasted from an AIM conversation but all requisite details are contained rather concisely within

Super short stack strategy shorthanded

Ok, I have been having trouble on a short stack heads up. In the typical pokerstars structures, how should one play (13.5k chips in play) when the blinds are at the 200/400 level with a 75 ante, how...

Re: Critical Mistake on stars KK vs. AA

WOW. That is what I reasoned when I called. Basically, this is a 50 sit n go, players dont have to have anything, but he was playing semi solid and I didnt think he would make that play with QQ or...

Critical Mistake on stars KK vs. AA

I felt like this was a critical error given that I was a solid favorite over these unimaginative players. There is really only one hand this guy could have had. My gut told me to fold but I talked...

Re: Donk goes broke in an unraised pot.

I didnt have it in my notes, but this guy was vv bad

he called an all in on the flop early with ace high I believe. SO that's why I should have overbet the pot on the turn. If he calls that, I...

Re: 30/60 Flopped Set

Preflop that seems a little loose in UTG+1. If the game has a lot of limping, then I would feel pretty comfortable limping that. If its TAG, I am not very happy playing it out of position against...

Re: 2 cold on the river with underpair?

I like what stevey said. On the turn you really aren't beating much, particularly against 2 opponents. 9T and J9 are among the only hands you are beating. JT fot there, and even in the very slight...

Re: Results

I think the action could have gone a number of ways, 3 betting flop, checking turn then calling a bluff on riv. Your line is another way it could have played out.

What happens if you brick up...

Re: AKs, SB vs BB

Schnieds: 3 bet that river!
Me: I'm a big pussy, check call the river.

Re: Severly overplayed flopped flush?

I've played in games where you played this hand fine. If you don't have the best hand, I'm a bit surprised that you didn't see more action on the turn.

Was it in fact, severely overplayed?

Re: River Action 30/60

I personally wouldn't raise with the A7 at stars, other than that I like your line. Unless he is a crazy man, betting the river will get him to fold or raise, something I am not too crazy about. I...

Re: Where to take a shot at 30/60 or 50/100?

30/60 on party is pretty good, and interpoker has some godawful big time fish.

Re: Split decision

well obv calling and moving on the turn would have been the worst. AI on flop and the way you played it would have resulted in the same thing

Re: Bad result good decision just off bubble with AQ?

you are going to fold to a raise from the cutoff who is the chip leader in a 5 handed game with approx equal stacks? I think that might be a little weak.

-I check the flop.

I think checking the flop may be a bit weak unless you are planning to check raise. Even then I don't like it too much.

The pot is huge now. If I am behind, I am not laying down, I'm cooked. I am moving in (or making a good sized value bet) right here.

Re: This confused me - 2 parter

WOW, this one is really hard. I may well make a moderate bet into the pot if they will pounce on it. Checking can't be bad, either, really given the texture of the game. The BB would worry me, but...
