Maybe you should refrain from raising this player on the river, but I would rarely "give him credit" for making his hand by folding on the river for one bet. If you do that, he will probably catch on...

Yesterday was one of those losing lots with sets days...I flopped 7 sets and lost with 5 (!?!) of them. (I played 1100 hands...) The first three I lost to higher flopped sets...which seemed bizarre....

Against a normal player I would slow it down...I would probably start calling down after the 3 bet on the flop. I certainly can't imagine a reasonable player giving you this much action on the turn...

I'm not sure. I've certainly been called down by missed draws/high cards before, and there is a possibility that someone would fold a small pair...but I don't think either of those outcomes are very...

Against more players I generally bet the flop w/overcards (if I was the PF raiser) and check/call or check/fold the turn depending on how it looks.... Here since there were less people in the hand I...

This is tricky...I would be tempted to take the free card on the turn, but since it's heads up, I don't think the bet was a mistake since you could actually be ahead in the hand and there is a good...

I agree that the river raise was a really bad move...probably made out of frustration. I was thinking he probably had a hand like A9 or A5 or maybe two hearts...but he was actually holding AK to win...
