Re: Outs after the flop

The number of outs you have is the same regardless of whether there are 2 cards to come or only 1, for instance, if you have 4 to a flush such as 2 spades in your hand and 2 more on the board, you...

Re: What to do when an affiliate goes rogue?

You can also go to Moondoggpoker.com. They also have a rougue affilates forum, and will try to help. When it happened to me, the only thing that I was able to do in the end was to stop playing at...

Re: The illustrated guide to texas hold em

I am in the process of writing a detailed review and posting it on my web site, but in general I think it is a terrible book.

I like the illustrated approach, and I especially like the hands where...

Re: outs to non-nut hands

I don't think that counting outs down to tenths, or even halfs, would be useful. You want to get a good idea of the strength of your hand, and by adding individual draws worth 1.5 outs for instance,...

Re: outs to non-nut hands

If you look at Ed Millers book, SSH, he has a good discussion of this topic. Counting outs. Basically, for something like outs to a pair, or 2nd pair where you think you may make your hand and lose,...

Re: Is my play ok?

My take on this:

Hand 1 There are 7.5 small bets in the pot, the small blind, the big blind the early position call, 2 from the first raise and 3 from the second raise. You need to call 2 bets in...

Re: Your money is not secure on Party Poker

Exactly. If a site, any site, will look at the From portion of an email, match it to the email address they have on file, and then proceed to make requested changes, we are in big trouble. All I need...

Re: No more Rake Back at Party Poker

If rakeback is against the T&Cs, why is it that some affiliates, not to be named, have announced that they have an agreement, with Party, to pay the rakeback in Party certificates, which can then be...

Re: Adjusting to a slowplayer

I have run into several of these types lately. For instance, they will limp in from any position with AA, call the flop, call the turn, then raise on the river.

I think they are slow playing these...
