Re: Is this push OK?
Ok, so if I encounter the exact same situation but with a smaller raise from BB, should I be worried about the button or SB? I didn't worry about them at all in this hand, but should I?

Re: Is this push OK?
Is that such a bad thing if the BB calls? I figured I would most likely be in a race in that case and at the time I was OK with that.
One thing I have tried to pin down is when a race is good or...

Re: Is this push OK?
Well, this move will definitely be retired. You are right that there are much better spots and my stack gave me plenty of time.
I agree with betgo that moves are more likely to work in the higher...

Re: Is this push OK?
After reading the replies, I will definitely not try this again. In the hand, the button actually ended up calling my all-in with JJ and the BB folded. I fully expected the BB to call, but did not...

Re: Is this push OK?
This was the PartyPoker Friday Special ($200+15). I thought he was making a move for a few reasons: He had pulled a pretty bold bluff in an earlier hand that he showed. I came over the top of one of...

Is this push OK?
Villain and I had butted heads a few times and I read his raise as a move on the limpers. I figured if he happened to have the cards to call, I would most likely be in a race. I haven't pulled this...

Re: Opposite of Seeing Monsters Under the Bed
Hand #1: My line was quite a departure from my normal play with AA in this scenario.
Hand #2: I am glad to hear that my call was not crazy. I didn't like seeing the spade, but I also thought he...

Opposite of Seeing Monsters Under the Bed
As of late, I have had trouble laying down hands after a scary river card hits, especially if I have committed a significant portion of my stack to the pot. In the past, I was probably guilty of too...

Re: Is this a horrible play?
***Bump***
Was this play too aggressive? I figured that there weren't too many hands he could have that would call this raise and against those that could, I had plenty of outs. This move is not...

Is this a horrible play?
UB WSOP Super-Satellite. Top four awarded 2006 main event entry. 36 players left.
Villain is pretty loose but not aggressive preflop. He's willing to take stabs at ragged flops.
Blinds 150/300,...

Re: Final table all-in reraise hand range?
Actually I think his range is quite wide, as I know my range would be large in his position. I instantly called and spiked a jack on the turn to beat his AQs.
The reason I posted this hand is that...

Final table all-in reraise hand range?
I have been the chipleader at the final table for a while now and have been raising a good number of hands before this hand comes up. Villain has also been fairly aggressive.
What hand range would...

I've never seen tournaments paused like this. Is this a prelude to cancelling tonight's tournaments?

Re: Top pair, nut flush draw
I was going to fold to the raise, had the CO not called. I normally do not play these types of hands in this position and if I limp with them, I normally fold to raises.
I think that this came...

Re: How do I play AKs unimproved?
Seems pretty clear in hindsight. In his position, this push would be mighty suspicious and he would call with a number of hands.
I used to take the line of pushing with a 10 in this situation,...

I followed the exact same line. I don't think I have taken this line before, leading to my original post.
I couldn't see letting a hand like this go, so I figured I would let them take the lead...

I waffled quite a bit on the first hand before folding the winning hand. UTG had AQo and shortstack had pocket 4s.
The second hand I pushed instantly and he ended up calling with AQo. What would...

Re: Push or wait?
With the blinds going up next hand to 1000/2000, would you pay the two blinds without pushing (leaving you with 3.5xBB)?
I used to wait way too long to push, but now maybe I feel desperate, when I...

Push or wait?
40 left in PP Friday Special.
I was just moved to this table, so I don't have a read on the Villain, but he is the current chip leader by quite a large margin. The blinds are going up to 1000/2000...
