Re: Return on Investment Simulations

Mterry,
Thanks for responding.
I have done sims on these hands looking for a specific ROI.
AJ UTG and K9s in co return the same when you raise when first in the pot.
I am just wondering why some...

Re: Return on Investment Simulations

Phish, thanks for the comments.

That is fairly easy....
What I am wondering however, is more difficult to get at.
Why...

Re: Return on Investment Simulations

What I am trying to get at is more consistant play based on...

Re: Return on Investment Simulations

Eric,
It's not about getting all your money back 10% of the time, it is about making a 10% return on the money you have to put in.

That however is not my point...
People will play a hand up...

Re: tough fold or standard? party 30/60

Please don't take this as a knock on your play, but I think it is a tough situation. Here is the dilemma, call a check raise on the river. You have represented at least top pair...and could very...

Return on Investment Simulations

I have been doing some sims today and trying to follow the work of a friend of mine. I believe that he is onto something here, and wanted to know some thoughts or ideas on this matter.
Doing sims...

Don't learn from that advice. It's poor. If there is even the slightest sliver of a chance he could have JJ or something else, a call is RESOUNDINGLY correct. The only way I could be...

Re: 80/160 GAME AT BELLAGIO

80/160 GAME AT BELLAGIO

In the first week of April, I made first trip out to Vegas to play some poker at the Bellagio. I had a fun weekend, that ended with about 15 hours of poker play.
On the 3rd and final night of my...

Re: 22 in 2-5 PokerRoom game...

That is exactly correct...you flopped a set...you wait all night for that...I take the chance and gamble that they don't catch up...I do not reraise the flop, I call and maybe the kk raises now...,...

Re: What was I supposed to do with my A-A?

This is a typical "shot" as is sometimes reffered to in chess. This player was no fish. In fact I would figure that he knows a lot about a no-limit game, without question.

He took a gamble in a...

Re: Laying down a set in a raised pot.

If the hero has the 5 of spades, the other player could not have 2 pair with the spade draw, and still have the 5 help him. So, maybe the check raiser flopped a set, however, probably a pair and...
