Re: Running Bad: Slow down?

Are we talking in the same tournament or across several different ones? If you're talking about different tournaments I wouldn't change anything. But I'm also in the middle of a pretty substantial...

Turn help...

There are so many hands the BB could have on the flop... flush draw, K with a weak kicker, a weird two pair, QJ... the list goes on. Any reasonable bet on the turn commits me and I'm either way...

I love the 98 play. She figures that there is no way Massah calls with her being so close to being bubbled out. That means she can triple up while only going against one player, a player...

Re: With what calling range by the big stack do I not push?

So limp and then fold to the BBs push? That leaves you with 2455 after antes. Next hand you're in the BB... if either the 2nd smallest or the biggest stack pushes, you probably have to fold leaving...

Re: With what calling range by the big stack do I not push?

So I tried to crunch some numbers and assuming that if you get called, you'll win 2/3 of the time, you need your steal to work 2/3 of the time on the big stack. I'm still not sure if this is...

Re: With what calling range by the big stack do I not push?

But pushing initially makes it impossible for him to reraise you... I think pushing has got to be better than limping.

Re: Forum Game Side Action (HU for grins Challenge)

Alright... I've been getting a crappy number of 2nds heads-up lately so this might be good practice.

Re: TPTK play

It's the BB's stack size that's important here... On the flop the pot is almost equal to the BB's remaining stack so I'd either just put him all-in on the flop or bet about 1/2 the pot hoping he...

Re: Line, please

Bet the pot. If the 2nd limper raises and the 1st is still in the hand, fold unless you're getting really good odds on your call. If the 1st limper raises, call if good odds.

Assuming no...

Re: Heres why you minraise

Basically what he's saying in min raising with mid to low pairs can take away the other players impetus to raise so you get a cheap flop when you'd otherwise be raised off the hand if you had limped....

Re: What would you do here?

I did some rough ICM estimates and it looks like the only time your $EV goes up when you call is when you win outright and otherwise it's best to fold. With that in mind against 3 non-paired...

Re: $109s - Two Barrel Bluff

I don't see how the history of the first hand is relevant to the current situation. The blinds are way bigger and your action is different. What am I supposed to be seeing?

I like the laydown. Two short stacks makes it an even easier decision I think.

How about this line?

I figure my hand is very well disguised having been in the BB and, of course, if anyone raises I can throw the hand away cheaply.

I'm less concerned about the river raise because that was a player...

Re: Tricky ladies.

At a 10+1 I'd call and expect to see a flush draw, a lower pair, or a complete bluff. I'd expect to see each of them more than an A.

Re: Checking a dangerous flop for info

Looking back, I see that the pot was raised, but not by much so I still think you have a very marginal holding with KQ. QJ9 is not the type of flop I'm looking to build a pot with OOP.
