Re: JJ - Bubble

I’d call, Button has raised 15BB which is a big overbet. I think you can safely rule out a big pocket pair cause I don't think he overbets here with that hand.

SB has called so A10+ ,pocket pair...

Re: KK faces early aggression

Thanks for the reply. I usually bet around half the pot in these situations. I didn't want to chase both my opponents out the pot with my Kings. With a hand like TT or JJ I am more likely to bet...

Re: KK faces early aggression

No. Fold means the same thing. My thinking was that by raising preflop in early position and betting the flop for the button to raise 400 which is about half his chips he must have at least two pair...

KK faces early aggression

Early in a tournament I receive KK, first 2 fold and I raise the standard 3BB from third position, the button calls and the BB calls. This is only the second hand in the tournament so all stacks are...

Simple Pot-Limit raising question

I'm going to a casino for only the third time tonight to play in a pot-limit hold'em tournament and was wondering about something. This is a pre-flop raising question.

As far as I'm aware the...

Re: A9 UTG push this?

I didn't get blinded away in this tournament I lost a couple of decent sized pot a few orbits previous to this hand and couldn't catch a hand for a while. This hand was the best I had saw for about 3...

A9 UTG push this?

I think I've found a possible leak in my MTT game. This is pushing marginal hands in early positions.

This is a hand which occured in last nights pokerplex £15000 Guaranteed tournament. We are...

Re: Strange JJ hand, folded a flush

A big pocket pair like AA,KK etc. as you have mentioned. I don't know if your opponent is braindead or not but to make a fold like this you have to know your opponent very, very well. I've seen too...

Re: Strange JJ hand, folded a flush

I like to calldown in this spot because:

a. UTG could be betting a weaker hand and is ready to fold to a raise fearing a flush.

And

b. To make this fold you have to believe that you won't...

Re: My first 6max hand post - 88

I agree with the call turn and fold river unimproved. Must have discounted the straight outs. If you bet turn and get raised the pot would be 7.5BB so 4 straight outs and 2 set out turn this into a...

Re: My first 6max hand post - 88

Preflop and flop look good, however I hate the turn check and river plan. My plan would be to bet the turn and plan on folding to a raise. On the river I probably check-call hoping to induce a bluff...

Re: 88, getting too fancy?

I'm undecided about the raise pre-flop, with just two limpers I'd raise it not sure I would raise it with three though. I'd probably raise 99 in the SB with the three limpers and definately TT.

Re: 10/20 AK flop TPTK

I think it's too passive post-flop. I'd either be raising the flop bet or c/r the turn.

Re: KK against a LAG

Never ever fold KK heads-up. I don't fold KK even when an Ace arrives unless I know my opponent well. I'd play the same post-flop. Looks like opponent has the 9.

Re: Turn desition. Check-calling or betting.

Easy turn bet here. I'd expect my AK to still be the best hand on the turn. The 2 on the turn is a good card for your AK. I check-call the river depending on my opponent.

Re: power fold or weak fold?

I personally don't like the fold here. Hero has top pair in a 7.5BB pot heads-up. Hero is surely good here at least 15% of the time.

Re: inexcusably weak?

I take it your folding to a 3-bet? I like this line however I have difficulty folding to a 3-bet on the turn as I think my opponents are trying to make a move on me. Must be a leak....

Re: Is this an automatic bet?

Definately bet the turn in both. In both hands your opponent is calling with any piece of the board. Your opponent hasn't shown any strength by check-calling the flop and checking the turn so bet...

Re: inexcusably weak?

Not at all. SB could have a weaker pair here but he could also have a hand. Any reads? If he has a weaker pair here let him bet it. I take it SB showed you a weaker pair? Don't be results oriented...

Re: All three options looked good to me

I would raise the turn and fold to a three bet. I've saw too many opponents make this move on me with a flush draw, second pair or worse to believe he has the 8. I would get my money in on the turn...
