Re: Low limit St8 hand

Sorry for the vague post. This is a STUD HI hand. I meant straight(Str8) and mistyped.

Semi-Bluffing

I normally wouldn't bet on fifth here with three other players and just my KK but thought my board warranted a semi-bluff. Sixth is a dream card for the semi-bluff so I bet again. Comments on all...

I know this isn't as bad as Party but it still seems high to me. I feel like I should loosen up but any broad advice regarding how much and with what type of hands would be appreciated. Thanks. ...

This is actually a friend's hand and my advice was:
Preflop limp from the button here is okay.
When the flop is checked all the way...

Re: Calling a river overbet?

Thanks to everyone for all the wisdom.
Here is an example where the result was good but my play was bad.
I knew that even though I won the hand(he showed KJo) I played it poorly.
Well, back...

Re: Calling a river overbet?

I don't know why betting 2/3 the pot on the flop and turn is weak play. Does a pot-sized bet make calls less of a mistake for people chasing? I realize these questions may seem elementary but please...

Re: Calling a river overbet?

Both responses so far suggest I should have raised more preflop. I always raise 3xBB when I raise. Why should I bet more preflop in the particular case? Thanks
