Re: Bank Roll question for mid/high stakes NLHE

We're talking about going pro here, Rococo. I don't think the risk of dropping 50-buy-ins is the real issue here. You want to have enough behind you to be financially safe if you go on a bad run...

Re: New success?

It seems that you're running well, playing too many hands for 8-9 handed games, winning too many hands after seeing flops. Expect things to slow down.

And there are many winning players with <50%...

Re: HU SNGs, not enough info, good sources?

Well, let's see, if you can maintain a 70% win rate, adn you play 50 + 2.5 on stars, averaging 30 minutes a match and playing 20 a day, that's 52.5 x 20 = 1050 in entry fees, and 70x100 = 1400 in...

Re: My best hand ever played

Converter didn't digest this hand well. Final pot was 8137, not 7990,

Preflop action was

Everyone folds to Button, who raises $40 to $60. SB calls. BB calls.

Re: Bankroll rush. Do you crush low stakes? Excuse my silliness

Not sure if you're serious there, your tone seems sarcastic but I may be wrong. Anyhow, I'm just looking for some kind of consensus or disagreement about how higher stakes playesr view lower stakes....

Re: Bankroll rush. Do you crush low stakes? Excuse my silliness

How significant is the difference in variance in 6 max and 10 max? Is the variance in 6 max significantly greater than in full ring only in short term (session)? In medium term? (10 sessions) Both?...

Re: Bankroll rush. Do you crush low stakes? Excuse my silliness

I suppose I know the answer, low stakes is incredibly +EV, but I just don't undersatnd other than variance why things have been going the way they have, and at what point can I say that it's...

Bankroll rush. Do you crush low stakes? Excuse my silliness

Hi,

I hope these questions aren't considered worthless or out of line, and I'm asking out of curiosity and the fun of hearing your opinions.

1) Are you 1000 NL + players absolutely confident...

Do I have to keep restarting the windows media player or will it start playing when it starts? (Right now it just shows a banner for 5 seconds)

Re: Small pair gets reraised preflop by short stack

Bizaff,

I understand what you're saying. That rule can be rephrased (in part) as "if you're getting worse than 10:1 on your money with a small pair preflop, fold", wouldn't you agree? And as you...

Indeed

Re: Small pair gets reraised preflop by short stack

Main problem with folding from my perspective is that it may ruin your stealing power in the future. That consequence is not very important?

Small pair gets reraised preflop by short stack

I'm not sure about my action in this situation, and I run into it several times daily.

For simplicity, you're sitting on 100 in 100 NL and villain in BB has 50.

The preflop action is not as...

Re: Overbetting Part 1

The problem I see with image expenses in online games is that people circulate quickly; something that can make taht expense a waste.

Re: Is my bankroll chart right?

Re: Bad run. PT stats. Telling?

Of the awful 30K hands, in all honesty, I've tilted away 4-5 hands, and not on the higher stakes. So that is not a big issue and aside from that I don't understand the change. Objectively it seems...
