been caught stealing

This sort of thing bothers me. 100NL 6-max. Folded to me on the button and I have A2o. I raise to $4 and the BB reraises me only $4 more.

Assuming no reads on the villain (new table), I usually...

Re: Thoughts on ICM

Just trying to get an order of magnitude view on this.

If someone (button or SB) steals the blinds you gain +0.2% or +0.3%
If there's an all-in confrontation, you gain +2.3% to +4.4% depending on...

Re: Thoughts on ICM

[ QUOTE ]
DOes SNGPT just calculate your $EV as if nothing happened? So no action at all behind you, just the situation like it was before the blinds were posted?

Thoughts on ICM

In thinking about ICM, there is something that never occurred to me before. Don’t know if this has been discussed before, but I couldn’t find any reference on it.

Say you’re on the bubble with...

Post your guesses - how often to raise from the button?

Does anyone want to post some guesses to the question I posed in my article (http://www.twoplustwo.com/magazine/current/streib1205.html)?

A) You are in a cash NLHE game with 3 players and everyone...

Re: Blind vs Blind in Tourney Situations Table 3

http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/4639/table38da.gif

Basically you are pushing any two cards unless the stacks are fairly small. If the stacks are 5BB or higher then you are pushing with any...

Re: Party 25NL: disguising a flush draw

I'm usually pretty aggressive with my draws. I'll bet or raise the same amount that I would if I had TPTK myself (usually about 2/3 pot). However, if you are in LP and UTG bets and gets lots of...

Re: Flop TP with flush draw, met with resistance, bad push here?

Add in the fact that he could easily have something like /images/graemlins/heart.gifA5, I don't think the push is bad. Some reads would be nice, though.

Re: Bottom set facing a 4-bet vs Donk

Anyone else raise $3 preflop here? This is essentially 3-handed and I think a raise is in order.

Re: Streib article

[ QUOTE ]
You didn't present a game theory optimal solution, so presenting it as such is a bit confusing.

Re: Streib article

There appears to be a bug in the basic (cash game) solution. It doesn't agree with my solution, or the sample case which eastbay posted a few weeks ago...

Re: Counter-Intuitive Tournament Plays

You are right if Carlos goes in with any two. But I don't think he is. Looking at it from a game theoretic optimal perspective, it is right for Carlos to push on any two and for the BB to call on...

Re: Book with best opening paragraph

I don't know about the first paragraph, but I've always said that Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash has the best first 10 pages of any book I've read. Totally bad-ass. /images/graemlins/cool.gif

Re: which is better Wilson or PAP2?

If you are talking tournament play, the new Wilson version has a much improved AI, so the players are tougher than PAP. But PAP is superior on all other counts besides AI strength.

[ QUOTE ]
As I read this thread, trojanrabbit is not Dennis Bragg, but is writing a couple of articles on the same topic that are yet to be published.

As an aside, if you opponent knows this then it actually becomes correct to push any two from the SB since the BB cannot call often enough to punish you for your loose pushes.
