Re: Tipping in higher limit games

I spoke to a dealer during the WSOP this year, who was dealing a very loose, big-stakes PL Omaha game, with many pots being over 10,000. He said that all of his tips were only a few dollars each,...

Re: Nevada Jacks poker chips

Yes, I just cleared my promotion, and just received the chips yesterday. They are nice; 300, with 4 different colors/values; red, green, black, and blue. They come in a case, with a dealer button,...

Re: Stud/8 in Vegas?

Yeah, unfortunately, you won't find stud hi/lo spread anywhere in Vegas. During the WSOP, you could find a game; a few of us started a $2-10 game at the Rio during the WSOP, and it ended up being a...

Re: Need help with Vegas shows

Thanks again, for all the suggestions. Looks like I can't go wrong with choosing the shows at the Bellagio, MGM, or Wynn. Just have to decide which one, or ones.

Re: Need help with Vegas shows

Thanks alot for the replies so far. I think we are leaning towards seeing the show at the Wynn, and possibly the Bellagio or MGM show. I, personally, want to see George Wallace at the Flamingo....

Re: Need help with Vegas shows

Haven't heard about that one. It sounds corny, is it really good?

Need help with Vegas shows

My wife has been nice enough to allow me to go to Vegas for the past 2 years with my buddies, so now it's time for me to show my thanks. I am taking her next month, and we are staying at the...

I did it, and mentioned what you said, and it is closed as of today.

Re: FTP $50 for 150 FTP points

I got the $50 for 150 points, and just cleared it by 4-tabling 1/2 holdem in 1 hour and 45 minutes. Too bad there regular bonus clearing structure stinks; I might play there more often.

Re: Negreanu buys in for 125k in a 5/10NL game?

Everyone is such a Daniel hater. It's funny what jealousy does to people.

Re: Four days and counting till Vegas!! Need some tips from you vets.

Seems like the majority of posters, including myself, think the Excalibur and MGM are the best rooms for low limit games.

Re: Hollywood Poker 1000% to $10000 bonus.

Yeah, I just saw that at bonuswhores. All you have to do is deposit $1,000 to get the $10,000 bonus. Not sure if the bonus clears quickly enough; besides, with all of these other bonuses I am trying...

Re: Empty partypoker account, or leave some in?

With 80k+ players playing there, I doubt they would look that closely at a certain account for that reason.

Re: Was the correct ruling made here?

I actually considered stalling, but it wasn't a time penalty, it was just one full round of hands, which was 10 at the time.

Re: Was the correct ruling made here?

That's terrible. I felt really bad for the guy. I ended up finishing 5th, and he actually finished 4th. The hand he sat down to was an 8 2 offsuit, and he was against a J8. He flopped 2 pair, and...

Was the correct ruling made here?

$115 NL MTT yesterday with 100 players. We were down to the final table of 11 players. About 10 minutes into the action, player goes to muck his cards, and one of them accidently flipped over and was...

Re: First Time in Vegas

Ususally the only time you will see PL Omaha Hi spread is during the WSOP; then a few of the casino's may spread it. I know they were spreading it at the Rio this year. I love omaha, too, and wish it...

Re: Newbie chopping questions

Also, don't make the mistake of looking at your cards first, then saying "wanna chop?" I did this inadvertantly, and the guy in the bb got pissed.

Re: First Time in Vegas

The Orleans has a good $4/8 hi/lo game with a kill; very juicy game, especially late at night. The Mirage runs a $5/10 game, but is full of mostly regulars. The Wynn has a good $10/20 game, but it...

Re: First Time in Vegas

I don't think you are going to find any PL Omaha games, and if you do, your bankroll isn't big enough. You might have to settle for limit omaha hi/lo.

Re: 1/2 nl in vegas

Almost every casino spreads the game nowadays, so it depends on where you are at. From my experience, the games were fairly loose, and definitely beatable. The standard preflop raise at the $1/2...
