completely dumbfounded

I am stumped about something. I am currently playing in a $4/$8 game. And during the course of 9 or 10 hours I will win some huge pots. (12 or 15 times the big blind) I don't lose very many big...

Re: Minimum Hand to Call This ReRaise...

In the right situation with the right player i will let the player to my left "steal" my bets for some time. I will keep the bets the same (obviously as small as possible) and continue to let...

Re: too weak?

the turn play was pretty bad but i think the play on the flop was worse. the only thing that a $250 bet does is give villain the proper odds to call. If he has four to the straight with an overcard...

Re: Results

As i mentioned in my second post, he looked like he was trying to protect a slightly less than premium pair. So we had a good read on him and we have to call because we are getting much better pot...

Re: Laying AK Down Preflop

absolutely, unless your read on this opponent tells you he would push this hard (raise 4 times your bet) with AA or KK. If he has any other pair you are almost dead even and getting almost 2 to 1 on...

Re: Laying AK Down Preflop

Have to agree with the previous poster on this one. You're priced in to call here. Then you have to make the rest of your decisions based on the texture of the flop. If you miss you're out and if...

Re: Pocket AA question.

sorry i was a little too vague...my fault...if there are couple of raises or a raise and a bunch of calls THEN get your money in..you will probably have a call or two and of course you have the best...

Re: QQ Hand

i believe that if you raise pre-flop and an Ace falls on the flop you MUST bet...especially if it is checked around to you. By not betting you're telling everybody at the table you have no Ace. ...

Re: need help on this bubble hand

I have to disagree with DJ on this one. You've got 10BB left after you call which is plenty to play with...especially with no big chip leader. I think you call here and push if the flop looks like...

Re: Pocket AA question.

you played this perfectly...this just happens from time to time if you see this guy again play with him as much as you can because he will give you ALL your money back if he keeps this up. Well...

a professional player told me not long ago that starting out as a general rule i shoud avoid chasing draws. Today at a live table (very loose) the button raised two other players $250 on the turn. ...

Re: Math, EV and Middle Pair Options (long)

i wouldn't worry about it too much dommer, all us new guys are killing ourselves learning the math while the old salts (who can barely balance their check books) go home with all our money. LOL ...

Re: Have Ah Th , called a raise, flopped an ace

it's a little difficult to offer an opinion without some read on the villan but i think Amoeba is right you need to get some more money pre flop. Once the flop hits the way it did ..you can't check...

Re: amazing conversation at 20/40 live table

Sorry guys but i have to disagree with some of you on this one. I have not found any poker literature that espouses raiseing on the button with K9 following 2 limpers...just to steel the blinds and...

Re: playing low cards against a loose table, when raised big preflop

Toss it...The number of times you'll miss the flop combined with the number of times your flush or striaght gets beat makes this a losing play.

Re: passive AKo

In my humble opinion...you've got to muscle this guy from the start. I think you should have put in about a $50 pre flop raise here. Raising UTG like he did says big pair. A big preflop like this...

Re: Worst river ever, call small bet in big pot?

perhaps you should have made the flop bet bigger. I think he could have AK or AQ with either the K or Q being a diamond. But no matter what when the third J shows on the river I think you're beat...
