Re: Elko Nevada?

Hey now - it doesn't suck all in all, just if you want to find any game that could be considered decent in the least =). But theres some seriously nice hiking and such to be had up around Elko, much...

Re: Poker in Reno (low content)

Plus like a thousand for Awful Awful, even cheaper than Mc'Ds and a billion times better. I'd go with the buffet at the ElDo or Atlantis also.

Great food at la strada in the ElDo, as well as...

Re: Elko Nevada?

Growing up there until moving to Reno for college, I can definitely say it is pretty much the middle of nowhere - 5 hrs from Reno and 4 from Salt Lake, 8-10 from Vegas... If all you want to do is...

Re: Table I just built

Ok those dice are insanely cool and the legs are great, super sly job on that.

Re: I don\'t get group buys - help me understand

I think that the major problem is Question #2: The answer is a emphatic yes. Overly dramatic and gaudy themes with lots of color and cheesy clip art dominates the chip market (at least the cheap...

Re: I don\'t get group buys - help me understand

The concessions are made for a 10-20% discount on UNIQUE high quality chips, that in many cases noone else has the ability to buy. Those who participate DO have a say and can give their opinions on...

Re: Rule for bets when someone is all in

Exactly right... The $1 raise doesn't count for anything besides being in the pot, it has nothing to do with the big blind either - a player must raise at least $15 in this situation for it to be a...

Re: NEVER use USPS

I'm generally a big fan of the postal service, esp for close shipping. Then I go UPS. I hate FedEx, they've lost, screwed-up, and have otherwise been late with pretty much half of the packages I've...

Re: Design review for the Pharaoh\'s Club Paulson chips

As a aesthetics type thing, I would see what it would look like (on number 2) to ditch the sky over the pyramids, just have a clean line - I think it'll make the chip more centered as it seems to...

Re: New chip design...plus introduction

Cool design idea, perhaps using a more bold money-ish type font (like the other post mentioned) for the denoms? It looks a little skinny for such a bold design.

The fronts - same thing, and again...

Re: Tense situation - seeking advice

I concur, the right thing to do would be not turn the next card, however by doing so, you're/the dealer is kinda letting the hand continue, and the guy got his straight. In my game, I'd make it a...

Re: Spraying chip labels - before or after application?

I sprayed mine (nexgens) after, I found it actually improves the feel, they feel really rough right after, but after a couple times through the hands or a couple shuffles, they feel much less obvious...

Re: Pics of table that work this time!

Slick table, is it bad if i'm even more jealous of the massive amount of bass sitting in the corner?... I can imagine two SVS cylinders in my living room - wicked.

Re: Buypokerchips.com Archetype Casino Chip Line?

Seems like the cool thing to do is pick up a stack of nexgens from 5star and slap some labels on, this is what I've come up with (stole the penguin from the mints) - one of my i'll-conceived...

Re: Do you make money at home games?

LAG == loose/agressive

Personally, I tend to lose money, well from game to game at least, but I usually end up even overall, win 80-100 bucks one night, come in 2nd or 3rd for the next four or...
