I saw some at Target for about the same price, in various colors in the housewares section in various colors. At my target they were on an endcap with the lavalamps and such.

There's conflicting laws on the books right now in Michigan. Accoriding to the Penal Code it's illegal, however, with the establishment of the Michigan Control Board it seems to make it legal. IANAL,...

I plan on doing the same, although you'll probably want to use fabric paint and stencils. I really don't think there is a way you can do it without a little bit of "stickiness."
