Re: Party High Stakes Winners and Losers (datamined)

Actually Josh, I think the most fascinating thing to see, is how "little" the big winners have won in terms of big bets here. Only a couple come in at over 250 big bets at each limits, out of a quite...

Re: Incorrect application of the Spicy F theorum?

Hi CSC,

I think the river bet with a 7 is OK. But the payoff is very thin, but okay I suppose if you only do it about half the time in the long run. If you want to value bet thin on the river...

Re: BU vs. sansone

I think Cryptologic allows or at least did allow, the same nickname to be used repeatedly within the network.

I am quite sure that the original Sansone was a very big fish, but I think there are...

$100/200 preflop decision

Just want some input on a preflop situation here.

Five-handed $100/200, some TAGs as you would expect at this limit, but haven't played much at this site before. UTG, quite unknown to me, but has...

Re: red 88...play along with me

Maybe I'm running too good, but I don't think so, but this is a raise I think. I think they eights will win more than it's fair share here.

A very important WAWB concept

...IMHO, is when it's a scoop for you to have your opponent fold in relation to the potsize. This can be anything all the way down to 4 outs, if the the pot is big enough. 6 outs qualifies often. I...

Re: 30-60 party --- folded the winning hand

Other than that you don't elaborate on how you mean the WBWA "situation" should influence his line, I don't think it's a WBWA ahead situation at all.

Re: 30-60 party --- folded the winning hand

In a full ringgame, you wouldn't be giving up much by folding 99 before the cutoff versus an UTG raise from an averagely/randomly tight player or tighter.

However, 6-handed, it's a quite clear...

Results and thoughts

I think it's nice this thread picked up, and especially interesting to see all the different opinions on the AJ hand. I guess it's {3bet 50, call 50, fold 0} when I am raised on the turn, {5bet 1,...

Re: Results and some thoughts

"I think you would be missing too much value to check the AQ hand."

I am not so sure. First of all, my read on this guys is that there are preciously few Ax combinations he would just cold-call...

A couple more $100/200 hands

This time, 4 and 3 handed respectively. My opponent (the same in both hands) seems like the typical good mid/high-limit player so far.

Hand 1:

Villain openraises on the button, small blind...

Results and some thoughts

Nice responses so far I think, thanks for not being so harsh on me. ;-) As for hand three, I agree that 3-betting the flop w/a view to get to a showdown very often is probably where I went wrong....

Three $100/200 hands vs same opponent

Online $100/200, max-6 table, full or fivehanded during these hands.

Villain in all hands is the same guy, regular well-known mid/high-limit American player. During this session and those I've...

Re: A post I\'ve wanted to write for a long time (LONG)

Josh to be honest, if all you can come up with is a winning $15/30 player finding a few $50/100 games tough, you don't really have much of a point or an argument here. Maybe he doesn't consider...

Re: Paying people off.

How strong is your opponent? If you are planning to put in a bet on the river, I would try bet-fold.

The turn might be fold, but too would have a hard time doing that. You are very likely playing...

Re: Where to find games bigger than 30/60??

And several others: Ladbrokes spread $300/600. UB, as you obviously know of, spread up to $150/300 ring-games. PokerRoom offers games up to $500/1000, you can sometimes find a three or even...

Re: $20/40, those forum regulars: Pocket Sevens.

I know there is a mistake in here somewhere, but can I really raise the turn and fold to a 3-bet? Provided KB folds, I am getting something like 16-to-1 on my last call, and I guess I will be playing...

I am a bit amazed by the lack of responses here. Given the results of this hand, it's turned out to be what I myself consider one of the most interesting hands I've played the last year.

UN showed...

$20/40, those forum regulars: Pocket Sevens.

RESULTS

Good read Daryn. I actually folded for the 3bet. No-one is bluff-raising into this pot, and I couldn't put both on a hand I beat.

The cutoff proceeded to cap. Button called and won with J-To after...
