Re: I don\'t have to bluff anymore.

I would have folded to the continuation bet on the flop. Once you tried to snap off his continuation bet and catch a set on the turn, I think your stuck going to the felt with your set. You...

Re: Flopped A Set of Queens...Re-Raised ? 6-Max

Re: play?

You flopped a full house and immediately going all in gets called by AK and maybe KQs or KJs, but lets AA, QQ, and any non-K hand get away for cheap. Since AK, KQs, and KJs are possible holdings for...

folding is zero EV.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, folding is often -(-EV). So I just abbreviated it with '+'EV. I did the math right, here, didn't I?

Re: bluffing with a set

[ QUOTE ]
I don't think open limping is necessarily wrong, but I never do it at 6 max. I also almost never limp behind a single limper.

Re: bluffing with a set

I'd just check. A straight will call, but not bet. A higher set might call but not bet. A low flush will call but might not bet fearing a higher flush. A big flush will go all-in over the top of...

Re: 3/6(6-max): AKs flops gutshot royal

The stop & go min-raise from villain looks like a strong hand more than a bluff or a weak ace (AT?). So, he must think he's ahead on the flop and the turn. What hands would he call your raise with...

Re: The hardest part of NL Holdem is....

Play an overpair versus a flop check/min-raise when the pot is already 1/5 your stack from preflop betting.

Figuring out that folding is usually +EV.

Playing heads up when a full table breaks...

Re: QQ hand

Check/call the river if you think villain will bet/bluff with a worse hand but fold to a bet.

Check/fold if you think villain only bets with a Kx or better (flush, full house, etc).

Ordinarily...

Re: My first 5/10 decision

AJs is pretty speculative to call the initial min-raise from UTG, but your position is good, and it looks like it will be a big, mulit-way pot. Once the flop comes AKx with 2 spades and you get a...

Re: I used to be happy with my boat...

Call and pay off AQ. You beat everything else (Ax, Qx, 44, flush, bluff), and I don't put villain on AA or QQ since he didn't raise preflop.

Re: Whats he got?

The only hand you beat that calls your river bet is KJ.

I'm not sure I like your line, however.

You limped in a multiway pot with a trouble hands at a full ring table. I don't even limp...

Re: Am I an idiot?

Making a min raise from EP with a pair of 3s makes no sense. Just limp in, call a raise that is 10% or less of the effective stacks, and play for a set on the flop.

The min raise was silly here,...

Re: is there a way to lose less?

Fold preflop.

Fold a 7-high TPTK to the min-raise.

Check-fold the turn that gives an oesd a straight, still leaves you behind 88, 99 or TT, not to mention 2-pairs or sets.

I've found that...

Re: Big Multi-way Pots w/ Big Draws for me: What\'s your line? 3 Hands

Fold all 3 out of position to the preflop raiser.

Short of that, I'd say:

Hand 1: Raise to $50, fold to a push from either player unless the preflop raiser pushes and the UTG calls. Then you...

Re: Any winning 200 nl+ players want to help me with something?

Re: JJ as an overpair

And what is the minimum hand that you will call a 3-bet from the original raiser preflop given your range of re-raising hands? For example, UTG raises to $2, you reraise JJ to $8, and UTG makes it...

Re: Quick preflop quiz

If I hit a set and there are no draws on board, then I either bet 3/4 pot into the preflop raiser or check/call...

Re: 25 NL 6max help / coaching / advice

This actually looks ok to me. 2.55/100 PT BB would be $5.1/100 * 30K hands = $1530. That's 30.6 buy-ins at the next level, NL 50. So I'd say move up, keep playing like you're playing. That's a...
