Re: Party 55 JJ hand

Do you feel lucky, punk? Well, do ya?

All in or fold depending on your gut feeling. You're either a small favourite or a big dog.

Re: KKT8ds gutshot + double flush draw on the turn

You're up against J10 and hopefully no redraw for one (or both!) the A high flushes.

I don't know. If you think both your flush draws are good you should definately call. Risk $107 to win $217...

The four to flush semi bluff

I don't have any specific hand histories available but I would still like to discuss this concept. I've taken a lot of heat in the post hand discussions after using this play on two occasions lately....

Re: A question regarding to the purpose of this forum.

There are several hundred thousand online poker players these days. How many are registered here? How often do we play other 2+2 players? I don't know, I haven't seen much evidence of that so far.

Re: To LAG or not to LAG...

It's much simpler to do this with a small/middle pocket pair. With suited connectors you will more often find yourself on a draw and that can be very expensive against someone who can't fold a big...

Re: KK laydown - preflop - UB 200NL

I think it was a good fold. It takes strength to fold that hand preflop.

There are only two possible scenarios here. Either he puts you on AK and pushes with any pocket pair or either he has AA. ...

Re: Flopped a set, bet into preflop raiser?

Don't ever check raise with a monster. Only do it when you want to know if you're ahead or not. That way you will never get more money into the pot. Lead out and then wait for his raise. Depending on...

Re: 99 > Flops Overpair > 2 Callers > What\'s my move on turn?

Fire again. If you're called again you're probably beaten though but most times the others just have overs or something. 10,10 or higher would probably have raised preflop, or on the flop. Unless...

The villain had KJ and I took it down. Was certain he had AK or 88 though, given the action so I was pleased when the money was coming my way.

I still think it's bad to call in that position but...

Re: Flopping nut straight with heavy betting action on flop

[ QUOTE ]
Raising or limping is good preflop. Folding is bad. You don't really have any other way to play it on the flop, since your hand is very vulnerable and the current nuts.

Re: flopped flush $1-$2 NL

I even limp 10 10 and JJ. Especially when I'm out of position. If the flop suits me (all lower, or if I hit a set) I'm in a very good position. If not, it's a cheap fold.

Flopping nut straight with heavy betting action on flop

I couldn't believe the action on this hand. Was I right to push to protect myself from the flush or should I have made a pot size bet instead?
