Re: \"Islam is a peaceful religion\"

Put up or shut up. Come up with those quotes from the bible you're talking about ... then show us who is quoting them today as they are actually performing them, and advocating that others do...

Re: Hit and Run vs. Taking Command vs. Trapping

Intimidation isn't going to carry you very far. You'll get by with it in small games -- until your opponants get a line on you.

You eventually lose because you're eventually getting trapped on...

Re: Results (and more discussion...?)

I think the villian played his hand terribly. He played his hand like it was really weak, or like a strong hand being played wrong. Thus there was absolutely no reason for you to bet on the end...

Re: 5/10 Hand (Boring Title; Interesting Hand)

Everybody here respects your play, so I have to ask since I disagree with betting -- particularly a good amount, what to you put ML4's opponant on?

I'm thinking he's really weak and that a value...

Re: 5/10 Hand (Boring Title; Interesting Hand)

In this particular spot, you've entered the pot volountarily, the BB gets stuck with his hand and can realy have almost anything.

He leads the flop for a pot size bet, I'm figuring straight draw,...

Re: Thinking at the Highest Level

I got no clue, except 320 bet perhaps was done to trick the other player into thinking you were opening for 30, but accidently opened for 320

Re: Hand

I'll take a stab.

You lost to A4d. You were checkraised on the flop, as a test, or perhaps weak resteal with bottom pair as the semi-bluff.

Opponant picked up the flush draw on the turn,...

Re: PP1KNL. FLOP TOP SET. UGLY RIVER SPOT OOP.

Maybe you can explain what you think you did wrong in your post flop play.

Looks like you tried to maximize profit by playing and betting in such a manner that the villian wouldn't escape...

Re: PP1KNL. FLOP TOP SET. UGLY RIVER SPOT OOP.

This looks like a situation value bet situation. Say $400 minimum bet. If you push, you only going to get called if he beats you, but he may just call $400 with KK, or perhaps AQ. If he pushes,...

Re: Weird Preflop Situation, call or push? Commerce 3/5

I just don't see a way to play the villian and shortstack off against each other. It's likely if you push you'll end up heads up against the shortstack, and if your having a good day, the villian...

Re: Weird Preflop Situation, call or push? Commerce 3/5

Push, you'll have problems if you just call, like trying to start the dry side pot. Gunna be hard to start if your ahead, and easy to start if your behind.

Re: Bellagio Turn Action

Who said "Never go broke in an unraised pot". And why?

I dont' think I check the turn, I'm leading. But you did so now I'm raising, probably to all in, because I have no clue what they are...

Re: AK limp reraise

I think the equity fold percentage is probably near linear from about 250 to all-in, and that there is a steep drop-off below 200-240. This based on opponants stack size and size of pot. So I think...

Re: AK limp reraise

Thats just about the best advice. Don't make costly mistakes thinking you can carry through on a bluff.

Re: Big Jump - From Party $100NL to $1000NL??

I'm curious as to your comment that don't push TPTK in these games.

Can you explain? I see alot of heads up action on the flop in these games. I played once, doubled up on AA to a flop of JT2...

Re: AK limp reraise

Ignore any comments during the hand, unless you are for sure otherwise.

Way #1.

Villian has $420 left. Make a bet that would committ all his chips should he call. Like $250+. If he called...

Re: What would he make the river raise with?

I would be trapped into calling. For good or bad. When players in position check after raising pre-flop and then betting the flop .... weakness. Then again, he checks the turn, then check raises...

Re: Make the nets smaller...

Just stretch the truth a bit and make believe it was a mid limit game. I'm only comfortable in 5-5 blind and don't play higher NL games, but do play 10-10 PL. So I just slip in there, but the...

Re: KJ Hand

Well, You'll certainly come across blinds calling with big pairs when faced with a button raise.

IMHO the hand seemed a simple read of the texture type of villians hand. I.E that he could beat...

Re: 2-3 NL analysis

Ming Chow

Anyway, You're hand is strong enough to lead into the pot on the flop for about 1/3 to 1/2 the pot size -- hoping for a complete fold or no raise.

Buttons rarely check big hands...

Re: KJ Hand

Check raise on the flop ... hmmm Either top pair or a pair and thinks you don't have one.

My guestimate QJ, A3, AQd, set of 8 or even QQ. I doubt they made a straight. The bet on the turn...

Re: How come I cant pull the trigger on the river?

You're the victim of a so-called "stop bet". Designed to do exactly what it did. Get the player to the show down for something less then what you would have bet if they had checked.

A mini-raise...

does anybody like the call on the flop with OES draw two overcards against an all in player with another stack behind you to act?

Re: cold calling a nut straight on the turn?

Put them in on the turn. He has to call with a set, vs on the river he doesn't have to -- if he thinks he's beat. River bets are sweeter though, 100% equity when you're ahead. But, if he had the...
