Handheld Poker Games?

I would like to play poker "on the go." But I don't want to get on line and I don't want to fire up my computer for Turbo Texas Hold 'em. I know there are several handheld, battery operated games...

Re: I really have no idea what to do here

Well, with AQ, I have top pair and likely the best kicker, so I'd be making a value bet for a lot more than t50.

Hero has two options: try to pick up the pot right away, or try to continue...

Re: I really have no idea what to do here

1. PREFLOP: I think I'm only playing this hand if there are limpers in front of me. I want to play this in a large, multiway field. Since you're first to open, I recommend limping to encourage...

Re: Missed AK??

This is something I have learned on PP. I am glad you posted this.

You raised pre-flop against one limper, who called. BTW, I think your 3.3(BB) raise was a good amount. I like the idea of...

Re: Variance in MTT\'s

I keep track of how I'm doing by noting whether I lost money or made money. I usually play 5+1 30 man tables at PP. If I bust out of the money, that's a -6. In the money, deduct 6 from the...

Re: All-In... how should I have played?

I don't like limping when there is a chance the chip leading BB will raise a field representing weak hands. I think it's fold or raise. A raise is likely preferable, because then the BB has to...

Re: $5+1 Party Poker Multi Hand

I throw it away because I don't know what the player behind me is going to do, but my sense is that he has a hand. If he calls, I have to think I'm way behind, not just a coin flip.

Re: satellite bubble hand

The pot offers 2075:800, or 2.6:1. So you need 13 outs to continue. You have at least 15 outs. Three 4s, Three 8s, nine flush cards, and your three 7s may also be outs. I think you're about 2.1:1...

Re: Follow up question

[ QUOTE ]
Does anyone find it significant that my preflop play, while bad for my stack, did induce a weaker player to call who wound up busting himself out? If I push preflop and am called by TT...

Re: A time to lay down Kings pre-flop

[ QUOTE ]
No, not in that case. It is rarly justified. I laid down Kings once pre-flop. It was the first hand of a 1 table NL tourney. I am on the button with KK. UTG raises to 100 middle postion...

Re: Careful what you wish for: Inducing calls when holding AA,.

I see the Poo-Bah's point, but I am not going to call two all-ins on that board, especially when I can move up a pay structure and I think I am probably beat. If my overpair isn't an overpair and I...

Re: Call or Fold QQ

My first question is: What were the blinds. My assumption is they were very low compared to everyone's stack, so defending the raise isn't all THAT important. You're still alive to play another...

Re: Careful what you wish for: Inducing calls when holding AA,.

Pre-Flop: against a call and a raise, you still must re-raise with AA. If you can't reraise with AA, when will you ever reraise. I think you see your error here. Your re-raise will isolate your...

How Much is in the Pot?: From PP to B&M

I went to Philadephia MS this weekend to play some 3/6. I won't bore you all with my horrible beats. I write for a different reason.

I have become lazy as an avid Party Poker player. I usually...

Two limpers to me and I limp in MP2. Folded around to the SB who raises. The BB folds, but both limpers and I call. Four to the flop for approximately 8 SB.

Typical $3/$6 Party game. I know that $3/$6 isn't micro, but I thought more people would get something useful out of this over here.

Re: First post - Don\'t go easy on me

I agree that you must fold pre-flop. A very tight preflop raiser raised UTG. From UTG, a player with 18/2 stats likely indicates AA-JJ, AKs-AQx. Fold.

You don't have the odds to call on the flop.

I think the preceeding advice is sound. There are times when I have laid down good hands when I was almost sure I was beaten, but that decision was based on the board and the PT stats of the...

Since we are this conspiracy topic, and because it doesn't deserve a new thread, let me give you the newest conspiracy. This one is coming from a best friend and not from a LA-P on PP. Both...
