Re: (OT) What does the Party Leader Board really mean?

"It doesnt tell you much. I am in the top 500 this month mostly doing 11s and 22s."

Agreed about the difficulty of determining what exactly we know about top 100 players. With all due respect to...

I'll actually be posting my last 6 months data here pretty soon. Ballpark, i've made about $1,200-$2,200 each month of mostly 4-tabling $33 in sets at Party. I play 350-550 a month. I don't have RB....

Re: ($33) Bring shorty ai with J2?

If we look at this as a purely pot odds decision, what would then be the lowest cards i should take him in for? I would need a hand that is i suppose about 30-35% to win against a random hand, which...

Re: (OT) What does the Party Leader Board really mean?

I played about 500 $33 STT each of November and December (as of today). Both months my ROI was about equal at 13%. I don't really play any MTT or STTs of other levels. I 4-table in sets for what...

($33) Bring shorty ai with J2?

450 more chips from me will bring the BB all in. I know he'll call with any two for pot odds based on several previous hands. Is J2 good enough?

They could be...

Re: ($33) Fold 99 to minrz or try to resteal?

Thanks bluefeet, that helps a lot.

Your point about having plenty of spots to exploit if i just lay this down is excellent. No need to hurry.

($33) Fold 99 to minrz or try to resteal?

I'm on tallstack with about 3000.
UG raises 600 of his 1500 stack.
I'm next with 99.

Re: Novermber E-penis-- goals, blah blah blah

My Goals Post:

"4-table the $33s.
Play 350-500 STTs.
Cashout $1,500-$2,000.

Start using ICM. "

I 4-tabled the $33, played 525 games for a cashout of $2,265. I didn't start using ICM, and...

Does the Leaderboard mean anything?

So i hit #250 on the leaderboard this month, which at first felt like an accomplishment, and now i'm not so sure.

If only 8% of online poker breaks even, and there are 800,000 tournament poker...

Re: Sites Have Motivation to Reward Poor Players. Period.

That was the first thing i thought too.

Dude, its not rigged. You're paranoid or not a good poker player. Both are okay. Take a statistics...

If we're assuming you have no read on the villain, then we don't know if he's playing solid poker or not. He has $55 is about all we know.

You preflop raise was smallish, some people protect their...

Re: How often do we see aces?

Harrington says that AA will be out there 1 hand each 24 when you hold KK.

IMO, the action here is more odd than indicative of Aces. I'd be expecting a middle pair, probably an AK, maybe a big...

Re: Should buy in effect play style?

There are definitely differences between the opponents, so adapting your play seems to be a smart move.

Going from $22 -> $33 tournaments, I would expect in general:

Your pushes will get called...

Re: ($27) Those darned Tens

I personally tend to fold QQ/JJ in this kind of scenario...

($33 or $55) Emergency push any 2?

Scenario:

Last hand of lvl. 5, blinds are 75/150. I have 720 chips under the gun 5-handed. The blinds go up next hand, and once they're done with me I'll have 420 chips on the button.

Re: playing AQo too weak? (PP 10$ SnG NL)

Now, assuming that in fact someone went...

($33) AQs facing large raise 5-handed

($33) Fold AQ to large PF?

Against a smaller raise, I have a neat and easy call on the first hand.

But this is a large raise, and i don't feel like going over the top all in.

So what's my line? Do I have to go allin...
