Re: I am a LAG

A true LAG would have raised preflop.

Villain certainly could have a flush draw some of the time and may fold 44-66 on your turn raise. He may have even just value raised his ace on the flop...

Re: 2 pair turn mistake?

Looks like he was on a pure bluff or free showdown play so I don't think you were getting another bet out of him regardless of your line.

Re: common situation

Compared to a flop check/raise, your line gets more money in, and more of it goes in when your equity is much better against his range. Even if he can get away from the no pair hands on the turn, you...

Re: AA against TAG

I guess he could have K9 or K8s. Is he too tight to call those out of the BB preflop? If he had 98s, check raising the flop would have been much better than leading. 99 seems possible since he might...

Re: Common Situation / Simple Questions

Call down. If you were in villain's shoes on that flop and had 88, wouldn't you raise? Since he'd play the middle pairs and decent kings the same, call down seems like the best play. As Victor said...

Re: Something new...

The villain should know that the 6 didn't help your hand, and if he thinks it did he might put you on a new heart draw. I don't think he's folding anything that beats you. I would like this play more...

Re: 66 in large pot, flop/turn decisions

Bump. This was relegated to small stakes after the split, but I think it warrants more discussion. It only received two dissenting responses so far. I'll add one more read that is kind of important....

Re: 3 HU hands. 10/20

Hand 1: I would have called the flop 3-bet and called down if I had the read that this player would 3-bet all aces and pairs preflop. Did you end up chopping with a better/worse nine?

Hand 2:...

Re: real common situation.

My standard line would be to raise the flop and continue betting the turn and river. If he 3 bets the flop I would cap then call down if he continues betting the turn and river.

I'm a pretty...

Re: Screwplay

He doesn't think you have an Ace because you didn't raise the flop. Call down.

If that's the case, why did you fold the turn? I'd think either fold to the CR or call down.

Re: AJ....would you play different?

AK and AQ would have check raised you by now. TT or JJ had odds to call the flop and turn with the gutter and he may look you up. AT or A9s seem possible especially four-handed. UTG likely has...

Re: 66...ok?

Is this guy the 10/20 type that always 3-bets when defending heads up? If so, I would rather call the 3-bet preflop and take the initiative back by raising the flop. Heads up against these guys I...

Re: JJ 10/20

The villain's line looks like an underpair that is hoping you have AK or AJ (99, 88, 77, maybe 44, even JJ rarely.) That King is a horrible card not only because some hands pulled ahead of you but...

Re: Stomping around in 10/20

[ QUOTE ]
Yeah, I don't know why I wussed out so much in this hand. If you notice, I kinda wanted to even fold the flop. You give conflicting advice though. Do you 3-bet or wait and pop the turn?...

Re: Stomping around in 10/20

6 minute mark with the J7o in the SB. I think you also need to 3-bet that flop. I tend to error on the side of aggression in these blind battles, especially on the flop.

By the way, the river...

Re: Stomping around in 10/20

KJs handed. I like the 3-bet preflop. On the flop, that player has a high spade more often than a better king or a flush. I like to pop a non-spade turn when your equity is much better against the...

Re: last video for a while (edited, 1 table, easy and quick)

3 minute mark. Heads up in BB vs. UTG raise from a 50/30. I call with 75o.

Re: I Used The Whole Time Clock On This River

Because of the lack of turn aggression, I think your opponents could be going to war here over who has the better king. The SB looks like a somewhat reasonable player and I can't believe he would try...

Re: AKs against a 2p2er

Sounds good. I think that he will have KJ a lot more than QJ because of the bet into 2 people on the river. I only put him on AJ/KQ/KT/QT at the time.

Re: 3/6: AJo I Was Proud of...

What was your hand range for UTG? Seems like he would have capped before the flop with KK and JJ so those sets are out, 44 and KJ are a possibility but seems like he would have 3 bet the flop while...
