Dogged by the big stack.

I keep finding myself dogged by the big stack when I'm trying to steal blinds. This isn't an actual hand, but an example that keeps repeating itself. Stars turbos, 15+1 or 25+2, 1500 chips, blinds...

Re: PS $27 turbos = PP $?

I started out playing SnGs on Stars, and only played a few on Empire before Party murdered them, so I'm back to Stars. I've been beating the 22s at a decent ROI, and I'm a complete noob to SnGs. I...

Re: Which is better ROI, 800 chips or 1500 chips..in general

Move to the turbos. They seem to combine the best features of both the Party and Stars regular games. You have more chips with which to outplay the donks in the early levels, then you can quickly...

I have finally arrived.

Someone accused me of being a bot heads up at the turbo 27s.

Re: Fact or Fiction?

I think I'll give it a shot. For the past week, I've been losing all-ins at a rate of about 9:1, so not looking at my cards couldn't possibly be any worse.

Re: Bonus Paranoia?

Maintain two accounts at each site. During a bonus period, you can deposit to the first account, transfer funds to the second account, then your cards won't go dead, and you won't incur the bonus...

Re: Padding A Chair

Go to Wal-Mart, fabric department. Get foam pads. If you don't know anyone who sews, ask the lady at the fabric counter and she'll give your number to some little old lady who will be happy to sew...

I've only played tournaments, not cash games. So I'll clarify by saying I've played 200 tournaments and make it in the money 40% of the time.

Re: What\'s the difference

[ QUOTE ]
I guess I understand what you mean, but I am referring to stats (ROI) that a "good" player can expect, like say 25% at 11s. Right now, even though I am beating rake, I am getting 0% ROI....

Pushing three times in one orbit.

I've become a convert to the push/fold method, and recently moved from the 22s to the turbo 27s on Stars.

I frequently find myself in this situation: I have had no cards at all through the early...

Re: \"The Dreaded Ace\"?

You simply cannot fold your PP every time an A shows up. That would be bad poker. Like others have said, this is very situational dependent. But here's a general rule to go by. Put out a...

Re: advice needed for a player moving from .50/1 to 1/2 and struggling

I'm a very similar situation.

I was at 3.5BB/100 over 30K hands at .25/.50 and .50/1, then moved to 1/2. I had been playing four tables and stayed with that at 1/2 and ran slightly negative for...

Re: SSH Starting Hands Chart -- Limping in with A2s in EP

[ QUOTE ]
I can understand in very loose passive games, where you get 5+ players seeing the flop. But what I don't understand is why SSHE advocates limping in with A2s in tight games with only 3-5...

Re: Declaring Yourself a Corporation for Tax Purposes

You can't "declare" yourself a corporation. You actually have to incorporate. In any event, you should consult a tax professional.

Re: Turbo SNG Bubble

I'd fold unless I had really good cards. I've come back, and seen others come back, from being all-in on the blind, to win first.

No reason to triple up one of them.
