Re: Kings pre-flop

Smells like a small pair <Tens to me. I call this all day long and say NH if he has AA.

Re: Did I tilt myself into a monster pot? Posting results.

Wow, yeah, thinking he has overpair I have 4 outs. Silly me. Like I said I was not at the top of my game and tired. Not my proudest moment and under normalcy would have never been there. Thanks...

Did I tilt myself into a monster pot? Posting results.

1/2 NL 3 handed online. I am going to post the results as I don't think that this hand requires too much thought. Loose Agg Villian has pretty much been beating up on me the last 50 hands or so. I...

Re: Does anybody actually put this guy on QQ and fold in this spot?

Type these letters into your chat after you showdown "Vnh". Rap your computer desk twice and buy back in. Never, ever lose any sleep over this one.

Re: What is a reasonable profit expectation for $1/2 nl holdem?

I average $2K per month playing online and live 1/2 NL. I play about 65 to 75 hours per month. Just passed $11K for since January 1st of this year. I will have to look but I think it is around...

Re: JJ on a TOUGH river

I lay it down. I think he probably flopped a flush draw with an Ace. You made it relatively cheap to draw to his flush so if he catches just respect it and go on. Without some really, REALLY good...

Re: Flopped a set, comments on my line please...

I would wait for the turn myself. Think about what he would put you on if you check-raised the flop? Top two, a set. I think you are showing too much strength too early and gives him too much of a...

What to do, What to do?

I don't see a tightie (4%PFR) raising with AQ or calling a reraise with it preflop. I also don't see AQ check-raising that flop unless he has seen you make alot of continuation bets lately. Did he...

Re: I can\'t remember the last time I made a laydown like this...

Call it down. I think he knows you have and 8 and is gonna use an Ace as a scarecard whether he has it or not. You beat every Ace but AQ.

Re: What to do w/ AKo?

I generally fold here unless I have a great read. He has to have absolutely nothing more than 25% of the time for a call to be +EV (if my late night math is right.)

Re: What to do w/ AKo?

Yep. What he said. I generally slow down on the turn if they call the continuation bet. Sometimes you can convince them you have a big PP but I find that it is seldom enough that it is -EV for me...

Re: full house vs. quads, bad call or tough beat?

I generally type "VNH", say "holy [censored]", and buy back in. /images/graemlins/smile.gif Don't lose a whole lot of sleep over this one. I woulda feared AJ alot more than 44 in this situation...

Re: KK -- Party Poker $25 NL

What exactly did you want to happen? I doubt he raised with something that would have a 9 in it, I doubt he would push with the nut boat (QQ), and you are getting almost 2 to 1 pot against his...

Re: I never slowplay aces

Seems like a good spot to let him bet off his stack with KK or QQ on a rag flop. I agree though that about $90 to $100 more preflop makes it easy to push almost any flop. Also that money will...

Try this.

After a session of long term tilt- 14 days straight, I took a break and looked back over my pokertracker to see what was up. I did exactly what these guys are telling you to do. I also was getting...

Re: Third nut boat on river, Reraise?

Ended up having 89 for the str8. I wished I had reraised but was worried about having to call a stack sized bet again with underboat. I admit, I lacked some heart on this one. Lesson learned. ...

Re: Third nut boat on river, Reraise?

"Thinks he knows poker but is really just bad"- alot of people at the table like this.
Later you will see that he did indeed play it badly. But I am with you, TTT has to raise this draw heavy...

Third nut boat on river, Reraise?

1/2NL livegame

Reads-
Villian is tricky player. Have seen him take down huge pot with low suited connectors that he reraised with preflop and fired shots all the way to the river after he...

Re: Pushed too early?

Better to win a small pot than lose a big one. He probably layed down top two pair or something. No worries.

Re: Multiway 1/2 NL live game hand

I had a crying call and sure enough I was beat. UTG has AA for the overboat and both of the other players had a weak nine (LP folded to the all in). When I lost that pot I was pretty sick as I...

Multiway 1/2 NL live game hand

Reads-
UTG is loose agg who has been raising more than half the pots preflop mostly $7 to $12. Generally throws drastically small continuation bets when he has a draw or hits little bitty pieces of...

Re: 1/2 NL hand $180ish stacks

Yeah, I knew that $20 was not enough on the turn but it was more of a blocking bet because I felt I was probably beat or he was on the same spade draw as I was (or already had it). I didn't really...

1/2 NL hand $180ish stacks

Hey guys- this is a hand from last night's live game. 1/2 NL, hero has $180ish and villain $150ish. I think I messed it up. Hero raises to $10 with AsQc and villian (semiloose, aggressive, and a...
