Re: Top two pair runs into resistance

Other than folding PF, I would have played it the same. The PF call is marginal, IMO. I would call the river bet.

Re: AJ hits 2nd pair, should I have bet the river?

I think you missed a raise PF. I have largely come to the conclusion that betting on the river is OK here. I used to check a lot more. It really depends on any reads and how many people are left. ...

Re: Waiting to protect until turn: extremely large pot.

I put UTG+1 on a full house also. I probably would not raise the turn.

Re: AK in a monster pot... played too passively?

Wow. I forgot how loose .5/1 is /images/graemlins/smile.gif. I never see this kind of action at 1/2 or 2/4.

I probably would fold the flop.

Re: Heres a Fun One

I would put him on 2 high cards or a small pair. The problem with 2 pair on board, is that it will most likely come down to a kicker. The ONLY hands you can beat are 23 & 33. You tie with 44 and...

Re: Heres a Fun One

I think the bet on the river is terrible. Your kicker cannot possibly be good and he is clearly not going to fold.

Re: Good fold or just bad play?

No question that you have to play the hand. I would have 3-bet the flop and not fold the turn. He very likely has an A for a str8 draw. He didn't raise pf, so AK is very unlikely.

Re: should I fold in the end...

I also would have folded pf, but you cannot fold this on the river.

Re: AQo misses the flop

I always find these hands very difficult. I have generally started folding many more hands like this on the flop. Although the pot odds are quite good for a call on the flop in this hand.

Re: Folded TPTK in a 28 BB pot

After UTG caps the flop, do you all agree with betting on the turn? If UTG does not already have 2 pair, a kq is a likely holding, no?

I would have checked the turn, hoping to see the river for...

Re: Party .5/1: JTs in MP1

I agree with folding and unless I am reading it wrong, he is getting only 6.5:1. That is not enough.

Re: VPIP for all pairs

I fold a2s from EP sometimes even MP, depending on the table.

Re: VPIP for all pairs

Are you saying I should be playing 22 and 33 from EP, even though it is unprofitable from better positions through 19K hands?

Re: VPIP for all pairs

77 - 81
66 - 75
55 - 69
44 - 74
33 - 63
22 - 61

.13bb/hand

I stopped playing 22 and 33 from EP, which is why those numbes are lower. Even doing that they are still small losers,...

Re: The fear strikes again

SO Sorry.

You are absolutely right. I read it as AKO instead of KK.

Re: The fear strikes again

This is one type of hand I have trouble with. I play mostly 1/2 and 2/4.

I would not re-raise pre-flop, unless you were suited..

why do you all agree that the 3-bet on the flop is correct when...

Re: Lots of problems here at each street...KQo on Button

fold PF, unless you are one of the blinds. SB is even questionable.

Re: Give this up on the turn (or sooner)?

IMHO, kts is not a raising hand from any position. You should read SSH. Call PF. You have no draws, I would fold the flop.

Re: AQ off hand

It's interesting that nobody said to fold pre-flop to a raise. That's what SSH says to do. I suppose you could justify calling because there were several people in the pot already.

I probably should have clarified a couple of things. The 18K hands is only since September when I started SSH in earnest. My total PT database is 37K hands and I played a couple of months...

I have been playing for a little over 1yr. I generally play SSH with some slight adjustments. For example, I found through PT after 18k hands, that some of the SSH hands were not...

Hello

I play SSH and am a small winner long-term winner.

This happens quite often and I think, in the long run, I am leaving money on the table. What are your thoughts.
