Re: My third MTT..... The final table?

Hand 1- I think you played it fine. 77 doesn't look very good after a raise and a reraise in front of you.

Hand 2- You need to raise a little more preflop with two limpers in already. 22,000 or...

Re: Fold AKs, Hand from 40k Gaur Tricky hand

If you had been playing with him for 2 hours and he hadn't come over the top of anyone one time I might find a way to let it go.

How long had you been at his table?

Re: Fold AKs, Hand from 40k Gaur Tricky hand

Your not looking at AA-QQ or AK 75% of the time. In fact its considerably less. Villain could have thought MP3 was stealing and decided something like AJ was good for a reraise. I would say...

Re: Follow up bets

It definitely does depend a lot on the buyin and players. Although Harrington advocates 1/2 pot CBs it has to be a bit more than that to get any respect in lower buyin levels. For this reason my...

Re: Ahhhhh! The noise!!!!!!!!!

I agree with Kneeco completely. Sweats need to stay here. Easy enough to avoid if you don't want to see them and they are very useful for improving our own FT play.

Re: 99 HU for Australia Package~

I think I let this one go. Way too many hands in his range that beat you. The turn push might not mean weakness or a draw, he could definitely have something like KT or QT without a spade.

Re: I am too weak.

You have to make your decision on the flop. Your a favorite over everything but AA-JJ so the only way you can get out of this is if you are almost certain that's what he's holding. Seems like you...

Re: 45K Guaranteed hand.

[ QUOTE ]
Hmmm, I think I'm calling here. I can't give him credit for a flush, smells like an overpair with a big diamond.

[/ QUOTE ]

My thoughts exactly.

Re: 77 in BB, mid-tourney

I think its definitely a fold. If he raises to 900 preflop I think you get the right price to call but 1200 is too much.

Re: What\'s your pushing range here?

Yea Illegit I thought you were 2+2 but didn't want to say anything when I was in pushbot mode. In regard to the other question table was pretty average. Had a few steals in the last 3 orbits when...

Re: Flush/straight hand, amount to bet?

I like your line, although I will occasionally sometimes just call the turn. River bet looks good based on the buyin and your perception of your opponent.

Re: Stars 45K Guarantee hand - insta call or insta fold?

Insta-fold. Odds aren't good enough to call here when you are at least a 2-1 dog, possibly 4-1. Fold and wait for a better situation.

What\'s your pushing range here?

Late in the Party 40 K, money is within sight. Villain has been moved to my table within the last 2 orbits so my reads are limited. He has been involved in a few pots so far though. Table probably...

Re: KTo on the button + limper

Default play is definitely to fold here but reads on either player could definitely change this to a call or raise. If they had limped and folded to a substantial raise in the past I could see...

Re: Pushing too hard\\too little with AJo?

No your play is fine. AJ from MP 8-handed in an unopened pot is a must raise.

Re: Am i really weak tight?! Fearing the limp/reraise

I call here but based on your read I don't think folding is terrible. Villain's line is consistent with AA or KK but he could be doing it w/ 99-JJ or maybe AK.

Re: Nothing but pushing- HU FT MTT

If you know will often call with a worse hand then push. If he's a maniac you are going to have to play back at him some time.

Re: beating a low stakes tourney

When do u usually try to make moves? I rarely bluff early on unless the situation presents itself. Save creative plays for later when you get closer to the money and some people may actually fold.

Re: Late in $20 tournie on Party poker

Easy call. You are a big favorite over villain's range.
