Hypothetical Party 5/10 w/AA

You are CO. Folded to you with AA. You just call. Folded to BB who raises. BB has been here only 1 orbit, and this is his 4th raise, and hasn't shown down a hand. You just call.

Flop is KK6,...

Hypothetical Party 3/6 situation

My circle of poker buddies has an ongoing argument about this hypothetical situation. I'm posting here hoping to get more insight or fresh thoughts/input on this.

For this situation, assume you...

Re: Tournament Ruling: You make the call

I was wrong. The last live tournament I played in was the Borgata Open. I still have the rules. Rule 13 states:

A player that exposes their cards during play will receive a warning but will not...

Re: Tournament Ruling: You make the call

This is a very simple ruling. SB exposed his hand before action was completed. SBs hand is dead. He keeps his chips, as the hand was dead before he pushed them in.

Edit: This is a general rule...

Re: Testing Sklansky Strategy

I think the big problem with the system in online tourneys is the rate at which the blinds move, as compared to a major tournament where you have a LOT of time and hands with a huge chip to blind...

I agree with posters who say here this should be a call preflop. But, if you feel the need to raise instead of calling, then raise his whole stack instead of half. That puts...

Re: interesting KK hand in a $33

Any reads on villain?

In any case, I'm betting the turn as well. If he still calls, then I can check behind on the river. As you played it, I would probably check behind the river. Weak, but...

Re: Does stalling late in tournies actually do anything for ya?

I agree with the first few responses that say you should never play like this. I also agree that I do this in turbo tournaments... The difference is that, in turbos, the blinds are so huge compared...

Re: Am I too timid or is Ace Queen very foldable to a reraise?

First, I don't like AQ against any reraises. Second, you raised from an early position, which in itself shows strength. To compound all that, you have a guy who you said has only shown down good...

Re: Wait, am I bluffing or value betting?

Two things make this hand so difficult for me: the history between you and villain and the coordinated board. He could literally have any two cards.

I think check/fold is the worst option. But...

You basically have to play this like you were headsup (because you are, LOL). Decide how you'd play against him if you were the last two left at the final table.

In this particular situation, I'd...
