Re: Playing for a living (long)

Ed Miller or Clarkmeister had a post about going pro a long time ago. You might find it in a search of the archives. Be sure to overestimate how much $ you'll need to earn and take into account...

Re: AK at the bubble

I gotta say fold also. You crush a lot of hands heads up, but two opponents in definitely dampens your crush-ability.

Re: $11 - Aggressive with a middle purr

You think he's making a standard continuation bet and you want to counter his steal.

I understand the move, but I'm not sure I would make it. It's still early in the tournament and you're not...

Re: How valuable would a $215 coach really be?

[ QUOTE ]
I agree with paying the coach from my winnings.

"what if your a bad student?" So, all students are bad players.

Re: 1st hand of 10+1 SnG

[ QUOTE ]
Do you guys actually think doubling up the first hand is worth risking 11 dollars? What if its 33 dollars or 55 dollars with a similar situation?

BUT I wouldn't pay it up front and would only pay them from my winnings.

Re: Opinions please on my MTT results so far

I'd also be curious to know, for those of you who have played many MTTs, what ITM% or ROI you have.

Re: Red Zone Strategic Question.

#1, probably go all in.

#2 and #3 for sure I would go all in.

edit: just to clarify my reasoning... For #2 and #3, whether you have an M of 4 or 6, that's still pretty low. And KQs is simply...

Re: holy crap, I think I just played on the 3rd level

I would guess Jx, 5x or some middle pocket pair. I agree he would've bet the flop if he had a queen. It looks like with his turn raise he is trying to punish a bluff and protect his hand. I don't...

Re: Rivered straight on paired board

[ QUOTE ]
Semi-bluffing into 4 loose passives is not a good idea... just check the turn. Definitely just call the river 3-bet.

[/ QUOTE ]

Isn't it a value bet on the turn?

I would not sit at a game with less than 10 BB. If you wanna take a break after losing 30BB, that's fine, just buy in with 40 and...

The point is it is HIS account and any transfer that happens (outside of fraud) is because HE did it. Why would or could they not tell you where you sent money from your account?

Re: Lost on this one.

[ QUOTE ]
the flop, you must 3bet

[/ QUOTE ]

against an unknown, it's better to 3-bet. But against a LAG, I'd say go for a turn check/raise.

Re: Standard turn check?

[ QUOTE ]

I still think the check is the better play right now. If you're still ahead on the turn, there aren't a great deal of cards that are gonna hurt you on the river. And if he was going to...

Re: Missed value bet w/ ten high flush?

do you really think the average player is going to fold the Qh for 2 bets on the flop? sure, it's good to make him pay more, but by raising all you'll usually force out are one pair hands...

Re: Whats the point of investing when Buffett will do it for you?

BRK has a huge amount it needs to invest in order to get a decent return. It's harder to earn a 10% return with $40 billion, than it is with $40,000.

Is Neteller really going to transfer old cashouts back?

Re: I feel dumb when I lose these hands.

I'd probably bet the river. Detailed reads make this bet a lot easier. Have you seen him call down with bottom pair or worse?
