Re: KQo from early against a lagtard maniac

Cap preflop.
Cap flop.
Bet the turn and start thinking about call down mode if he pops it again.

This is the the bread and butter.

Off-suit: A7, K9, QT, JT.

Suited: Any A, Any K, Q8s, J7s

I hate an A7 offsuit limp here. A8 too. I think A9 is breakeven.

Re: Tough spot with A9s

With two bets back to me on a coordinated board, I'd fold here.

For what it's worth, I'd probably have fired out with TPTK on the flop to see what happens. But I spew sometimes.

Re: Outs counting, big pot and stuff (hand with lot of desicions) ...

THe only thing I'd change is your potential line on the turn of calling a check raise on the turn and folding unimproved. If UTG+2 check-raises the turn, given the limp PF he was either getting...

Here's one thing to consider that a few of you haven't:

My line is this: call flop, check/call on non-diamond turn and river, bet/fold diamond turn and river, unless this guy is capable of bluffing here.

NOTE: I think one important...

Re: A Mod Challenge: The Either/Or Idea

Gut instinct answer: You slightly under 50% equity.

a small amount of math:

Villian has either a Q or a diamond draw better than yours. Estimating I'd say 2/3rds of the time it's a Q, 1/3rd...

Re: I suck hard at blind vs. blind battles

you're OOP here. The issue isn't going for a check raise, it's betting out with top pair, getting raised, then ther'es the choice between either calling or 3-betting.

Re: I suck hard at blind vs. blind battles

With top pair and a reasonable kicker, I'd 3bet the turn. Note that a lot of hands that would be beating you at this point would have 3-bet preflop. If BB is raising some ragedy-ass 2 pair, thems...

isn't this an easy raise?

I think seeing the turn play as BB missing a check/raise is just seeing monsters.
